MEDIA FEED RATE ADJUSTMENTS
An example system may include a processor and a non-transitory machine-readable storage medium storing instructions executable by the processor to determine, during an imaging operation by an imaging component of a printing device, whether a print queue, supplied by the imaging component, will be depleted by a printing component of the printing device prior to a completion of the imaging operation; and adjust, based on the determination, a media feed rate of the printing component.
Printer capable of performing backward conveyance
A printer includes: a conveyor that performs a forward-conveyance operation for conveying a printing medium downstream in a conveying direction and a backward-conveyance operation for conveying the printing medium upstream in the conveying direction; a printing device; a roller provided downstream of the conveyor in the conveying direction; an opposed member opposed to the roller; a moving mechanism that moves a moving member, which is one of the roller and the opposed member, between (i) a first position at which the printing medium is nipped between the moving member and the other of the roller and the opposed member and (ii) a second position at which the moving member is separated from the printing medium; and a controller that executes a first conveyor-backward-conveyance processing for controlling the conveyor to perform the backward-conveyance operation in a state in which the moving member is located at the second position.
RECORDING APPARATUS
A recording apparatus including a recording head that performs recording, a feed roller that feeds out a set medium, a transport driving roller that transports the medium, which is fed out by the feed roller, towards an opposing position that opposes the recording head, and an auxiliary roller provided between the feed roller and the transport driving roller, the auxiliary roller assisting transportation of the medium. When the apparatus is seen from a side of the apparatus, the auxiliary roller overlaps the feed roller in a height direction of the apparatus.
Recording apparatus
A recording apparatus includes a sheet feeding device including a sheet feed tray on which a medium is mounted in an inclined orientation, a feeding roller configured to feed the medium, and a sheet feed slot that is defined by the sheet feed tray and the feeding roller i, and a recording section configured to perform recording onto the medium fed from the sheet feeding device. The recording apparatus includes a scanner unit that is disposed on a body of the recording apparatus and functions as a reading device for reading a document, and a guiding member that is inclined from a side surface of a guiding member installation section that is a side surface of the scanner unit on a sheet feed tray side in a state in which the scanner unit is closed with respect to the body of the recording apparatus.
Adjusting a pickup time of a printing medium when a transfer delay occurs or is anticipated to occur
An image forming apparatus includes an engine to form an image on an image forming medium, a paper transfer device to pick up a printing paper and transfer the paper to a transfer path, a sensor to sense a printing paper at a predetermined position on the transfer path, and a processor to determine whether a transfer delay occurs, when the printing paper is sensed, and adjust a pickup timing to advance a pickup of a printing paper of a next page.
DYE-SUBLIMATION PRINTER AND REWINDING CORRECTION METHOD
Proposed is a dye-sublimation printer, and more particularly to a dye-sublimation printer that can systematically control upward and downward movements of a pick-up roller, upward and downward movements of a platen roller, and driving of a take-up reel gear according to forward and backward movements of a slide plate.
Recording device and method for controlling recording device
A recording device includes a recording head, a transport roller set, and a controller that controls a driving source that drives a transport driving roller. The controller judges whether a rear end that is an upstream end of a medium in a transport direction crosses a kicking region set in a range present downstream of a nipping position of the transport roller set in a transport direction. When the controller judges that the rear end does not cross the kicking region, the controller adjusts a feeding amount for at least one of a plurality of transport operations to be performed until the rear end reaches the kicking region in such a manner that the rear end of the medium crosses the kicking region.
ESTIMATING MEDIA LEVELS USING REGRESSIONS
An example method for estimating a media level of a media stack in a printer includes storing a media level model correlating a picker metric of a media picker to pick media from the media stack to the media level; measuring a current picker metric when the media picker picks the media from the media stack during a print job; adding the current picker metric to a historical data set; updating the media level model by generating a regression for the historical data set; and based on the current picker metric and the updated media level model, estimating a current media level of the media stack.
Image-forming apparatus having electromagnetic clutch for transmitting drive force of motor to conveying roller
In an image-forming apparatus, when a sheet length of a first sheet is shorter than or equal to a predetermined length, a controller supplies power to an electromagnetic clutch to convey the first sheet and a second sheet so that a sheet gap of the second sheet is equivalent to a first gap. When the sheet length of the first sheet is longer than the predetermined length, the controller supplies power to the electromagnetic clutch to successively convey a first number of sheets so that the sheet gap of each of the first number of sheets is equivalent to the first gap. After the first number of sheets has been conveyed, the controller supplies power to the electromagnetic clutch to convey at least one sheet so that the sheet gap of each of the at least one sheet is equivalent to a second gap greater than the first gap.
