RECORDING APPARATUS
A recording apparatus including a recording head that performs recording, a feed roller that feeds out a set medium, a transport driving roller that transports the medium, which is fed out by the feed roller, towards an opposing position that opposes the recording head, and an auxiliary roller provided between the feed roller and the transport driving roller, the auxiliary roller assisting transportation of the medium. When the apparatus is seen from a side of the apparatus, the auxiliary roller overlaps the feed roller in a height direction of the apparatus.
Conveying device, liquid applying apparatus, image forming apparatus, and post-processing apparatus
A conveying device includes a pair of rotary bodies and a movable member. The pair or rotary bodies includes a first rotary body disposed in a first region, and a second rotary body disposed in a second region and facing the first rotary body across a sheet conveyance passage through which a sheet applied with liquid is conveyed. The movable member is disposed upstream from the first rotary body in a sheet conveyance direction. The movable member is configured to move between the first region and the second region with respect to the sheet conveyance passage. The movable member is configured to move to the second region in a middle of conveyance of the sheet between the first rotary body and the second rotary body.
SHEET CONVEYOR FOR A PRINTER COMPRISING PRESSING MEANS FOR FLATTENING A SHEET
The present invention seeks to flatten a sheet when transferred onto an endless belt conveyor facing a print head assembly in a simple and/or low costs manner. Thereto a sheet conveyor is provided comprising an endless, air permeable belt and pressing means. The pressing means comprise a plurality of pressing members spaced apart from one another in a lateral direction of the belt, each pressing member comprising a body which body is moveable in a perpendicular direction with respect to the belt as well rotatable or pivotable around an axis in the perpendicular direction independent of the corresponding bodies of other pressing members. This provides a simple and passive sheet flattening means, resulting in low operational and material costs.
Heated pressure roller assemblies for printers
In some examples, a system is disclosed that includes a roller assembly for a printer. The roller assembly includes a pressure roller, a belt coupled, a drive assembly to rotate the pressure roller and to urge the pressure roller into the belt, a heater to apply heat to the belt, and a temperature sensor to detect a temperature of the belt. In addition, the roller assembly includes a controller to increase a pressure applied to the pressure roller from a first to a second pressure in pressure in response to a temperature of the belt being greater than or equal to a first temperature threshold. Also, the controller is to initiate an advance of a print media to contact the belt in response to the temperature of the belt being greater than or equal to a second, higher temperature threshold.
Recording device and method for controlling recording device
A recording device includes a recording head, a transport roller set, and a controller that controls a driving source that drives a transport driving roller. The controller judges whether a rear end that is an upstream end of a medium in a transport direction crosses a kicking region set in a range present downstream of a nipping position of the transport roller set in a transport direction. When the controller judges that the rear end does not cross the kicking region, the controller adjusts a feeding amount for at least one of a plurality of transport operations to be performed until the rear end reaches the kicking region in such a manner that the rear end of the medium crosses the kicking region.
TRANSPORT DEVICE, FIXING DEVICE, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A transport device includes: a first rotating body including a shaft portion, a cylindrical portion on an outer periphery of the shaft portion, and a recessed portion in an outer surface of the cylindrical portion; a second rotating body capable of moving from the first rotating body while contacting an outer surface of the first rotating body and nipping a recording medium; a transport unit that includes a holding portion that holds the recording medium, and that transports the recording medium by moving the holding portion in a rotation direction of the first rotating body while the holding portion is disposed in the recessed portion; and a moving mechanism including a cam portion on a side of the cylindrical portion and a contact portion connected to the second rotating body and that comes into contact with the cam portion to separate the second rotating body from the first rotating body.
RECORDING DEVICE
A printer includes a curved path through which a medium is transported toward a line head, a transport roller pair provided in the curved path, pinching the medium by a driving roller and a driven roller at a pinching position, and transporting the medium, a gate portion having a contact surface configured to switch between a contact position located upstream of the pinching position in a transport direction in the curved path and a retreat position at which the contact surface does not contact with the medium, and a guide portion guiding a tip of the transported medium to the contact surface located at the contact position.
Recording device
A recording device includes a recording unit, a first transport path, a second transport path, a first discharge roller pair, a second discharge roller pair, a first driving motor configured to drive the first discharge driving roller, a second driving motor configured to drive the second discharge driving roller, and a movement mechanism capable of moving the second discharge roller pair between a sandwiching state where a second discharge driving roller and a second discharge driven roller sandwich a recording medium, and a separated state where the second discharge driving roller and the second discharge driven roller are separated. In a part of a period in which the recording medium is transported, the second discharge roller pair is in the separated state.
PRINTING APPARATUS
Provided is a printing apparatus enabling a user to easily perform jam processing. The printing apparatus includes a printing unit, a cassette in which a plurality of sheets to be printed by the printing unit are mounted, and which is capable of being drawn out from the device by a user, a roller pair which is capable of being in an abutting state and a separate state and transports the sheet supplied from the cassette by interposing the sheet, in the abutting state, and a mechanism which changes the roller pair from the abutting state to the separate state as the cassette is drawn out.
