The ratios (Wp1/Wm1, Wp2/Wm2) of the pattern widths Wp1, Wp2 to the paper widths Wm1, Wm2 are obtained, respectively, after the first drying and after the second drying (Step S109). Then, in accordance with these ratios, a range (in other words, the width) in which the back print image G2 is to be printed is adjusted in the width direction Aw (Step S204). As a result, when the double-sided printing is performed on the continuous form paper M by performing drying every time when the image is printed on each of the surfaces Ma, Mb of the continuous form paper M, it is possible to suppress the difference in the ratios of the widths of the images G1, G2 to the width of the continuous form paper M between the surfaces Ma and Mb of the continuous form paper M.

EDITING DEVICE EDITING PRINT DATA FOR CREATING LABEL WITH PRINTER TO WHICH TAPE CASSETTE IS ATTACHABLE

In an editing device, a controller is configured to perform: editing; and displaying. The editing edits print data for a composite label to be created by affixing at least one overlay label to a base label. A printer is configured to perform a single printing operation using an ink ribbon to print an object on a tape in a single printing color thereby creating a single label. The editing includes: determining a printing color of an object; categorizing the object to one of a base object and an overlay object; and setting a print mode to one of a shortest length mode in which a single overlay label is created for each overlay object and a fewest prints mode in which a single overlay label is created for all overlay objects having a same printing color. The displaying displays a composite label image based on the print data.

Printing apparatus

A printing apparatus includes: a print head; a main body having an accommodation part accommodating a printing medium; an opening/closing cover supported by the main body to be swingable between a closed position and an opened position, the opening/closing cover covering the accommodation part in a case the opening/closing cover is in the opened position, the opening/closing cover opening the accommodation part in a case the opening/closing cover is in the opened position; a support member provided to the opening/closing cover; and a platen holder provided to the support member and configured to rotatably support a platen roller, the platen roller being configured to convey the printing medium at a position facing the print head in the case the opening/closing cover is in the closed position.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PRINTING ON A CLEAR POLYMERIC FILM WEB

A system (20) and method for printing on clear polymeric film web (24) are disclosed. A first stationary inkjet print unit (44, 60, 70, 82) has first ejection nozzles that span a width of the clear polymeric film web and a second stationary inkjet print unit (44, 60, 70, 82) has second ejection nozzles that span the width of the clear polymeric film web. A web transport conveys the clear polymeric film web past the stationary inkjet print units. First and second print controllers operate the first and second and stationary inkjet print units to deposit drops of a first and a second material on the clear polymeric film web at a first and a second resolution, respectively. In addition, dimensions and position of a page element to be printed on the clear polymeric film web are adjusted to compensate for distortion that may occur to the printed page element due to shrinking of the clear polymeric film web.

Recording apparatus

A recording apparatus includes: a housing; a recording section that performs a recording operation on a medium and is disposed inside the housing; a storage section that stores the medium; a transport route along which the medium is transported; a transport section that transports the medium; a reading section that reads an original sheet and is positioned higher than the recording section; a supply section that supplies the original sheet to the reading section; and a supply route through which the original sheet passes. Each of the supply and transport routes is formed at substantially right angles to a width of the housing. The transport route has a curved section in which the medium is turned over. The reading section is positioned behind the recording section in a depth direction from the front to rear surface of the housing.

In a printing device, a controller is configured to perform: (a) writing; (b) printing; (c) determining; (d) conveying; (e) writing; (f) printing; and (g) writing. The (a) writing writes prescribed information to an information storage medium provided in a first print medium. The (b) printing prints a prescribed image on the first print medium. In response to determining in (c) that the printing quality of the prescribed image is not good for the first print medium, the (d) conveying conveys a continuous medium in a reverse direction, the (e) writing writes void information to the information storage medium provided in the first print medium, the (f) printing prints a VOID image on the first print medium after the (e) writing is performed, and the (g) writing writes the prescribed information to the information storage medium provided in a second print medium prior to performing the (f) printing.
