Label printer
Disclosed is a label printer, having a printhead and a counter-element to the printhead, wherein a carrier tape is led between the printhead and the counter-element; a drive mechanism for the carrier tape having a driven carrier tape drawing roller; and at least one non-driven carrier tape pressure roller that is associated with the carrier tape drawing roller, wherein, the carrier tape drawing roller and the respective carrier tape pressure roller are arranged after the printhead and the counter-element, wherein the drive mechanism for the carrier tape comprises a further driven carrier tape drawing roller and a further non-driven carrier tape pressure roller associated with the further carrier tape drawing roller is provided, with the further carrier tape drawing roller and the further carrier tape pressure roller, arranged in front of the printhead and the counter-element.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
In order to provide an image forming apparatus capable of forming a high quality image on a film-shaped medium, the present printer includes an image forming section B1 that forms an image on a transfer film using an ink ribbon, a film conveying mechanism that has a motor Mr4 and conveys the transfer film while applying a tension thereto, an ink ribbon conveying section that has a motor Mr3 and conveys the ink ribbon while applying a tension thereto, and a control section that controls the image forming section B1, motor Mr3, and motor Mr4. When adjusting the drive amount of one of the motors Mr3 and Mr4, the control section also adjusts the drive amount of the other one thereof according to the adjustment amount of the one motor.
LABEL PRINTER WITH SEPARATED CONSUMABLES
This disclosure relates to a label printer with separated consumables, which includes a housing, a carbon ribbon cassette, a thermal transfer printing core, a printing head assembly and a synchronizing rotating shaft mechanism, a printing channel is arranged in the housing, and the printing head assembly is arranged on one side of the printing channel, a rubber roller assembly is provided at the other side of the printing channel, and the carbon ribbon in the carbon ribbon cassette passes through the printing channel.

THERMAL PRINTER
A thermal printer is provided which starts up at a practical speed and whose ink ribbon is unlikely to leave trails on a recording medium. The thermal printer includes a first transporting unit transporting an ink ribbon, a second transporting unit transporting a recording medium, at least one motor driving the first transporting unit and the second transporting unit simultaneously, a thermal head thermally transferring ink of the ink ribbon onto the recording medium to print, and a controller accelerating the motor from a rest state to a target speed while the recording medium and the ink ribbon are pressed against the thermal head. The controller accelerates the motor in a first period which is a mechanical delay time required for driving force of the motor in the rest state to be transmitted to the second transporting unit, drives the motor at a constant speed or accelerates the motor at a rate smaller than that of the first period in a second period from when the first period is ended and before the target speed is reached, and accelerates the motor at a rate greater than that of the second period in a third period from when the second period is ended until the target speed is reached.
Printing system
A printing system includes: a printing device including a thermal head, a supplier, a winder, and a ribbon transport mechanism; and a controller configured to: transport an ink ribbon in a first direction from the supplier to the winder and heat the ink ribbon to perform printing; rewind the ink ribbon subjected to the printing in a second direction opposite to the first direction; after again receiving a print command, rewind the ink ribbon in the second direction by a first length corresponding to a length required to reach a printable speed; after the rewindings, store a second length corresponding to a length of the ink ribbon subjected to the printing upstream of the thermal head in the first direction; and feed the ink ribbon in the first direction by the stored second length.
Tape cartridge
A tape cartridge which is mounted in a tape printing apparatus provided with a detection part, includes a tape-shaped member which has a detection protrusion of which a lateral side partially protrudes in a tape width direction and a cartridge case in which a tape roll formed by winding the tape-shaped member into a roll shape is contained. In the tape cartridge, an exposed area is provided outside the cartridge case, the exposed area being where the detection protrusion provided in the tape-shaped member delivered from the tape roll and fed in a length direction of the tape-shaped member is exposed, the cartridge case has a cover which covers the tape-shaped member delivered from the tape roll in a tape feeding upstream side from the exposed area, and the cover includes a first cover, a second cover and a position regulating part.
