Liquid ejecting device
A supporting section is disposed to confront an ejection surface and supports a recording medium. A first tank is mounted on a first-tank mount section. A liquid conveying section conveys liquid to a liquid ejecting head. A receiving section receives liquid ejected from the liquid ejecting head. A waste-liquid conveying section conveys liquid to the waste-liquid tank. A first casing holds the liquid ejecting head, the first-tank mount section, and the liquid conveying section. A second casing holds the supporting section, the receiving section, the waste-liquid tank, and the waste-liquid conveying section. The first casing is connected with the second casing such that the first casing is movable relative to the second casing. The first casing takes a first position at which the ejection surface confronts the supporting section and a second position at which the ejection surface is farther away from the supporting section than at the first position.
Liquid discharging apparatus, liquid discharging system, pattern recording method, and computer-readable storage medium
A liquid discharging apparatus, having a liquid discharging head, a relatively-movable device, and a controller, is provided. The controller controls the liquid discharging head and the relatively-movable device to record a plurality of relative movement adjuster patterns, arranged at different positions in an arrayed direction, and a different pattern, arranged side by side with the plurality of relative movement adjuster patterns along a direction orthogonal to an arrayed direction on a same liquid-discharge objective medium. The controller controls the relatively-movable device, after recording at least one of the plurality of relative movement adjuster patterns, and before recording a next one of the plurality of relative movement adjuster patterns next to the at least one of the plurality of relative movement adjuster patterns, to perform a relative moving action by a moving amount different from a predetermined relative moving amount for recording the different pattern at least once.

HEATER, LIQUID DISCHARGE APPARATUS, AND PRINTER
A heater includes an irradiator configured to irradiate a heating object including a liquid attachment region, onto which a liquid is applied, with an active energy ray, and circuitry configured to control an output of the active energy ray emitted from the irradiator to an edge portion in the liquid attachment region of the heating object to be larger than an output of the active energy ray emitted from the irradiator to a non-edge portion in the liquid attachment region excluding the edge portion.

INKJET PRINTHEAD ASSEMBLY HAVING PRINTHEAD CHIP CARRIERS RECEIVED IN SLOT
A printhead is provided having an elongate support having a plurality of internal webs protruding from a base section to define a plurality of parallel fluid supply channels, a shim supported by the support and defining a plurality of rows of openings through which fluid from respective supply channels is supplied, and a plurality of elongate printhead modules supported serially on the shim. Each module defines a plurality of fluid supply passages through which fluid passes to fluid ejection nozzles from respective rows of the openings. Either end of each module defines complementary formations such that adjacent modules nest together.
CRACK SENSING FOR PRINTHEAD HAVING MULTIPLE PRINTHEAD DIE
An inkjet printhead including a plurality of printhead dies, each printhead die including at least one crack sense resistor, at least one analog bus connected to each printhead die, and a controller separate from the plurality of printhead dies. The controller is configured to provide a known current to the at least one crack sense resistor of each printhead die in a selectable pattern via the at least one analog bus and to determine whether the printhead dies are cracked based on resulting voltages produced on the at least one analog bus.

Inkjet printing apparatus
An inkjet printing apparatus for printing on a printing medium by dispensing inks thereto. The apparatus includes a transport device; print heads for performing printing by dispensing the inks to the printing medium; and a drying section including a heat source for generating heat for drying the inks dispensed to the printing medium, and a shutter switchable between an open state and a closed state. In the open state, a drying amount of heat is applied for drying the inks dispensed to the printing medium, and in the closed state, the heat from the heat source is applied in a minute amount of heat smaller than the drying amount of heat. A controller switches the shutter to the open state when a transporting speed of the printing medium is faster than a predetermined threshold, and switches the shutter to the closed state when the transporting speed of the printing medium becomes equal to or less than the predetermined threshold.
