PRINTING SYSTEM WITH SELF-PURGE, SEDIMENT PREVENTION AND FUMES REMOVAL ARRANGEMENTS
A printing head assembly with integrated purge mechanism is disclosed. The printing head assembly comprises: (a) a liquid dispensing head comprising one or more dispensing nozzles enclosed in a nozzle plate, driven by at least first and second pressures, and (b) a shielding mask including an opening in front of the one or more nozzles, wherein the opening being configured such that when printing liquid is dispensed from the head driven by the first pressure, the liquid being dispensed in pulses through the opening in the shielding mask, and (ii) when purge printing liquid is dispensed from the head driven by the second pressure, the liquid being drawn to a capillary gap formed between the shielding mask and the nozzle plate thereby removing the purge printing liquid from the nearby nozzles.
INK JET PRINTING APPARATUS
The ink jet printing apparatus includes: an ink jet head having a nozzle row in which a plurality of nozzles for ejecting ink are arranged and a nozzle guard with an opening at a portion corresponding to the nozzle row, provided at a position via a gap with respect to an ink ejection surface of the nozzle row; a sheet shaped absorbing member having a size that covers a range of the opening of the nozzle guard; and a capping unit that presses the absorbing member onto the opening of the nozzle guard.
LIQUID EJECTING APPARATUS
A printer includes a head including an ink ejecting unit for ejecting ink from a nozzle, a waste liquid flow path that is a flow path of ink sucked from the nozzle, a suction unit that performs an ink suction operation of sucking the ink from the nozzle via the waste liquid flow path, and a cleaning operation of sucking cleaning liquid from the nozzle via the waste liquid flow path, and a control unit that controls the suction unit so as to vary a suction amount of the cleaning liquid depending on an elapsed time from when the ink suction operation is performed, when the cleaning operation is performed.
LIQUID EJECTING APPARATUS AND MAINTENANCE METHOD THEREOF
Disclosed is a liquid ejecting apparatus including a liquid ejecting portion provided with a liquid ejecting head and configured to move the liquid ejecting head in a head moving area in a scanning direction, and the head moving area includes a landing area in which the liquid is ejected from the nozzle and landed onto a medium that is placed in a placement portion, an receiving area in which a liquid receiving portion is provided, and a maintenance area in which a maintenance cap is provided, and the receiving area is disposed at a position farther from the landing area than from the maintenance area in the scanning direction.
Head cleaning mechanism and ink-jet recording apparatus provided with the same
A head cleaning mechanism includes a recording head and a wiper. The recording head includes an ink ejection face having an ink ejection region where a plurality of ink ejection openings for ejecting ink onto a recording medium are open. The wiper wipes the ink ejection face in a predetermined direction. The ink ejection face has, downstream of the ink ejection region in the wiping direction, a depressed portion extending in the head width direction perpendicular to the wiping direction. The depressed portion includes an upstream side inclined face which inclines upward from the ink ejection face to the downstream side in the wiping direction, and a downstream side inclined face which is arranged downstream of the upstream side inclined face in the wiping direction and which inclines downward to the downstream side in the wiping direction.
INKJET PRINTER
A printer includes a head that injects a liquid, a cleaning mechanism, a waste liquid path, a waste liquid tank that is detachably attached and collects waste liquid, a displaceable member that is displaced to a first position when the waste liquid tank is attached and is displaced to a second position when the waste liquid tank is detached, a liquid receiving portion that is provided on the displaceable member and is located directly below an outlet of the waste liquid path when the waste liquid tank is not attached, a detection target that is provided on the displaceable member and moves together with the displaceable member, and a sensor that detects the detection target.
Printing system with self-purge sediment prevention and fumes removal arrangements
PRINTHEAD DEVICE INCLUDING SHIPPING FLUID
A printhead device includes firing chambers, nozzles, and shipping fluid. The shipping fluid includes a shipping fluid density and a shipping fluid viscosity greater than a corresponding ink density and ink viscosity of an ink that will be ejected from the firing chambers and through the nozzles.
LIQUID DISCHARGE HEAD
In a liquid discharge head including a discharge-port forming member having a discharge-port row in which a plurality of discharge ports for discharging a liquid which is aligned in a predetermined aligning direction, a plurality of individual liquid chambers which cause each of the plurality of discharge ports to communicate with a common liquid chamber, and an element board having a plurality of elements which generates energy for discharging the liquid and disposed in the individual liquid chamber, a first supply port connecting to the common liquid chamber and a first collecting port connecting to the common liquid chamber, a second supply port disposed on a further toward outer side than an end portion of the discharge-port row in the aligning direction and a second collecting port disposed closer to the outer side than the end portion of the discharge-port row in the aligning direction are provided.
LIQUID EJECTION HEAD, METHOD OF DETACHING PROTECTION MEMBER FROM LIQUID EJECTION HEAD, AND LIQUID EJECTION APPARATUS
A liquid ejection head including a detachable protection member, includes: a rail portion extending along a first direction; a rail opening formed in the rail portion; and a fixing opening fixing the protection member, in which the protection member includes a protection portion covering an ejection surface of the liquid ejection head, an engagement portion that has a shorter length in the first direction than that of the rail opening, and a fixing portion that is engaged with the fixing opening and that fixes the liquid ejection head and the protection member, the rail portion includes a contact portion at one end in the first direction with which the engagement portion is put in contact, and the other end on an opposite side of the one end in the first direction is connected with the rail opening while the liquid ejection head and the protection member are fixed.
