FLUID CARTRIDGE WITH VENTED INSERT
A fluid cartridge having a plastic fluid body, a bottom wall having a fluid supply opening therein. A metal insert is adhesively attached to the bottom wall. The metal insert has a fluid supply slot therein corresponding to the fluid supply opening in the bottom wall, a die bond surface adjacent to the fluid supply slot for adhesively attaching an ejection head chip thereto, and a plurality of air vents adjacent to the die bond surface. An ejection head chip is adhesively attached to the die bond surface of the metal insert.
Printer, cartridge, and medium storing program to be installed in printer
A printer includes: an installation case to which a cartridge having a first memory is installed, a printing unit which performs printing by using a print material supplied from the cartridge, a sensor which outputs a detection value according to an amount of the print material stored in the cartridge, a cartridge interface communicable with the first memory, a second memory, and a controller. The first memory stores cartridge information including: cartridge identification information and residual amount information according to the amount of the print material stored in the cartridge. The controller acquires the cartridge identification information and the residual amount information from the first memory, stores history information in the second memory, and updates the residual amount information of the history information based on information according to the amount of the print material discharged by the printing unit.
Sinter processed printhead
A fluidic ejection cartridge having a unitary integrally-formed body of sintered metal having an upper portion, a lower portion, a sidewall, and a bottom having a nosepiece, the body defining a reservoir. In various embodiments, the body includes at least one of copper, copper alloy, iron steel, carbon steel, iron-copper steel, copper infiltrated steel, copper steel, iron-nickel steel, nickel steel, low alloy steel, hardened steel, diffusion alloyed steel, 300 series stainless steel, 400 series stainless steel, and soft magnetic alloy. Some embodiments include a lid of the sintered metal disposed over and sealed to the upper portion of the body. Some embodiments include a chip in fluid flow communication with the reservoir. Some embodiments include a filter disposed in the reservoir at the lower portion of the body. Some embodiments include a volume of an ejectable fluid disposed within the reservoir.
INK PACK AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE INK PACK
An ink pack configured to supply an ink to an ink-consuming apparatus includes a first pack configured to contain the ink, an ink supplying section provided to the first pack, the ink supplying section being configured to supply the ink to the ink-consuming apparatus, and a second pack configured to accommodate the first pack. The first pack and the second pack are separable.
METHOD FOR FILLING AN INK CARTRIDGE AND A FILLING STATION IMPLEMENTING SAID METHOD
A method for filling an ink cartridge for a printer in an ink-filling station. The type of cartridge to be filled is determined and information associated with the cartridge to be filled is sought in a database. The cartridge is placed in the station. The cartridge includes a wall separating a reservoir of the cartridge from the outside. An opening passing through the wall from the outside to the reservoir is pierced, the position of the opening depends on the information. The cartridge is filled by injecting ink through the opening under ink-injection conditions dependent on the information. The opening is sealed by cooling a deposit of molten plastics material in the opening under sealing conditions dependent on the information. An internal reservoir is taken to a set pressure by blowing or sucking air to pressurize or depressurize the internal reservoir.
MOUNTING MECHANISM FOR LIQUID CONTAINER AND INK STIRRING METHOD FOR INK CARTRIDGE
There is provided a mounting mechanism for a liquid container capable of suppressing a damage of a mouthpiece and enabling efficient stirring, and there is provided an ink stirring method for an ink cartridge using the mechanism.
The mounting mechanism for a liquid container includes: a holder portion that fixes a mouthpiece serving as an outlet of a liquid of a liquid container in which the liquid is contained and that holds the liquid container; a set portion that has a fitting part fitted to the mouthpiece and causing the liquid to flow out of the mouthpiece; a tube that communicates with the fitting part; and a main body that is connected to the set portion by using the tube, in which the set portion is movable with respect to the main body.
TANK
A tank includes: a wall separating a liquid storage chamber, which stores a liquid to be supplied to a liquid consuming part, from an outside; an inlet penetrating the wall; and a liquid outflow part which allows the liquid to flow to the outside of the liquid storage chamber. The wall includes a view wall, which extends upward and downward and allows a user to visually check a liquid level in the liquid storage chamber, and a bottom wall, which defines an inner bottom surface of the liquid storage chamber by being connected to the view wall. The inner bottom surface of the bottom wall includes an inclined part which extends from at least a part of the view wall to incline downward in a direction away from the view wall.
LOGIC CIRCUITRY
A logic circuitry package for a replaceable print apparatus component comprises an interface to communicate with a print apparatus logic circuit, and at least one logic circuit. The logic circuit may be configured to identify, from a command stream received from the print apparatus, parameters including a class parameter, and/or identify, from the command stream, a read request, and output, via the interface, a count value in response to a read request, the count value based on identified received parameters.
Method of manufacturing a liquid cartridge and a liquid cartridge for recycling
A method for manufacturing a liquid cartridge for recycling includes a preparing step and a first step. The preparing step prepares the liquid cartridge for recycling. The liquid cartridge for recycling includes a liquid accommodating portion, a flowing path, a stopper, and a valve. The first step includes a first insertion step, a first valve open step, a first injection step, a first valve close step, a first removal step, and a first mounting step. The first insertion step inserts an injection member into the stopper. The first injection step injects the liquid into the liquid accommodating portion through the injection member, after the first insertion step and the first valve open step. The first removal step removes the stopper from the opening while the valve is maintained in the closed position after the first valve close step. The first mounting step mounts a new stopper.
Method and apparatus for manufacturing cartridge
A cartridge manufacturing method is a method for manufacturing a cartridge having a case, a chamber adapted to filled with printing material, a supply port for leading the printing material inside the chamber to outside the case, a flexible sheet member constituting at least a portion of the chamber, and a biasing member that biases the sheet member in the direction that expands the capacity of the chamber. Pressure is made to act on the printing material, and the printing material is filled from the supply port to inside the chamber.
