Printing apparatus
A printing apparatus includes a medium accommodation portion that accommodates a medium, a medium discharge port for discharging the medium, a medium transport section that transports the medium, an ejection head that ejects a liquid to the medium to form an image, and an image detection section that detects the image. The printing apparatus has a first mode and a second mode, the first mode being a mode in which the medium transport section transports the medium in a direction from the medium accommodation portion toward the medium discharge port, and the ejection head ejects the liquid to the medium, and the second mode being a mode in which the medium transport section transports the medium in a direction from the medium discharge port toward the medium accommodation portion, and the image detection section detects image information of the image formed on the medium.

INKJET PRINTING APPARATUS, METHOD OF PRINTING INK USING THE SAME AND METHOD OF FABRICATING DISPLAY DEVICE
An inkjet printing apparatus, method of printing ink using the same and method of fabricating display device are provided. The method of printing ink includes: ejecting ink in which a plurality of particles is dispersed from an inkjet head; irradiating the ejected ink with a first light and a second light having different wavelengths to acquire data on a first exit light and a second exit light emitted from the ink; calculating a concentration of the particles in the ink from the data on the first exit light and the second exit light; and checking whether the concentration is out of an error range from a reference value, where the first light has a wavelength of about 500 nm or less, and the second light has a wavelength of about 1000 nm or more.
Liquid discharging apparatus, controlling method for the same, and medium storing program
A liquid discharging apparatus includes a controller configured to execute: a recording processing, a first determining processing, a pre-recording flushing processing, a first flushing processing, and a second flushing processing. In a case that the controller determines, by the first determining processing, that the recording processing is to be executed in the second mode, the controller is configured to make a first flushing interval between the pre-recording flushing processing and the first flushing processing to be longer than a second flushing interval between the first flushing processing and the second flushing processing.
INKJET PRINTING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD
An inkjet printing apparatus and its control method which can suppress defective ejection and wasteful ink consumption are provided. For that purpose, pigment density N.sub.x of the ink in a circulation path is calculated, and the ink in the circulation path is discharged on the basis of the pigment density N.sub.x.
VALVE UNIT, PRINTING APPARATUS, AND PRINTING METHOD
Provided are a valve unit, a printing apparatus, and a printing method capable of preventing sediment arising in the valve unit from flowing toward a discharge unit.
The valve unit is used in a printing apparatus including a reservoir unit that holds ink, a discharge unit configured to discharge the ink, and a flow channel that connects the reservoir unit to the discharge unit and through which the ink flows from the reservoir unit to the discharge unit. The valve unit is disposed partway along the flow channel, and includes: a first chamber that configured to communicate with the reservoir unit; a second chamber configured to communicate with the discharge unit; a switching valve that switches between allowing and cutting off a flow of ink from the first chamber to the second chamber; and an expelling unit configured to expel sediment from the second chamber by suctioning the sediment.
Sonic speed measurement device and electronic apparatus
A sonic speed measurement device includes a reception array in which a plurality of reception elements which output reception signals in response to reception of an ultrasonic wave are disposed in one direction, a phase difference detection portion that detects a phase difference between the reception signals output from the reception elements adjacent to each other in a case where the plurality of reception elements receive the ultrasonic wave which propagates in a spherical wave shape from a target point, and a sonic speed calculation portion that calculates a sonic speed of the ultrasonic wave on the basis of the phase difference.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PRINTING COLOR IMAGES ON SUBSTRATES IN AN INKJET PRINTER
A color inkjet printer includes an electrode that emits an electric field into a gap between a printhead and a media transport that carries media past the printhead. Image data generated by an optical sensor after an ink image is printed on the media is analyzed to measure at least one image quality metric. When the measured image quality metric is outside of a tolerance range, the voltage of a voltage source electrically connected to the electrode is adjusted to improve the wetting of the media type with the ink ejected by the printhead.

INKJET PRINTER AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING INKJET PRINTER
[Object] To appropriately warm ink.
[Solving Means] An inkjet printer 1 includes an inkjet head 3 and an ink warming mechanism 12. The ink warming mechanism 12 includes a warming part main body 21; an ink flow path 21a formed inside the warming part main body 21; a heater 22 that is attached to the warming part main body 21 and heats the warming part main body 21; a warming part temperature sensor 23 that is attached to the warming part main body 21 and detects a temperature of the warming part main body 21; and a heater controller 4 that controls the heater 22. The heater controller 24 controls the heater 22 based on the detection result of the warming part temperature sensor 23 so that the temperature of the warming part main body 21 becomes a predetermined reference temperature.
