DRAWING DEVICE
A drawing device for drawing an object on a workpiece using a pen includes a holder, a movement portion to move the holder, a rotation portion to rotate the holder, and a memory storing, for each of a plurality of line segments configuring the object, drawing data relating to a position and a length of the line segment, and angle data relating to a rotation angle of the holder. The drawing device acquires the drawing data and the angle data of a preceding line segment from the memory, rotates the rotation portion in accordance with the angle data, and draws the object by controlling the movement portion in accordance with the drawing data. The drawing device acquires the drawing data and the angle data of a subsequent line segment continuously subsequent to the preceding line segment, rotates, and draws the object in the same manner as the preceding line segment.

MECHANICAL HANDWRITING BARCODE CONTROL METHOD
The invention comprises a printing method, comprising the steps of: marking a markable surface with a graphical code; loading into a plotter system the markable surface; receiving a print job related to the graphical code; and plotting the set of vectors on the markable surface, such as by identifying a particular media type of the markable surface with the graphical code, receiving into the plotter system a print job, the print job comprising: (1) the set of vectors; and (2) a printable media requirement; scanning, with the plotter system, the printable media code; and confirming the printable media requirement matches the particular media type.
MECHANICAL HANDWRITING QUALITY CONTROL METHOD
The invention comprises an apparatus and method of use thereof for processing a machine produced emulated handwritten document prepared on a marking surface, comprising the steps of: receiving a print job order; digitally generating a reference image of the print job order; machine plotting with a plotting pen and a downward force of one-half to forty ounces applied to said plotting pen an indentation trail to form input text on the marking surface; digitally imaging the input text on the marking surface to form an actual image; and in a quality control step, digitally comparing the reference image to the actual image prior to insertion of the print job order into an envelope.
Plotter, method for drawing with pen containing liquid using plotter, and pen mountable on plotter
A plotter includes a mounting portion, a first movement mechanism, a second movement mechanism, a processor, and a memory. The mounting portion is configured to mount with a pen containing a liquid. The first movement mechanism is configured to relatively move the mounting portion and a workpiece in a movement direction. The second movement mechanism configured to relatively move the mounting portion and the workpiece in a direction intersecting the movement direction. The memory is configured to store computer-readable instructions that, when executed by the processor, instruct the processor to perform processes. The processes include acquiring plot data, acquiring information relating to a remaining amount of the liquid of the pen, setting a relative movement speed of the mounting portion and the workpiece, and controlling the first movement mechanism and the second movement mechanism at the set movement speed, and performing drawing on the workpiece.

VERTICAL PLOTTER WITH AN IMPROVED PRINTING HEAD
A vertical plotter has a writing head movable on a writing surface and comprises a gripping element for releasably locking an ink writing stylus instrument, an actuator configured to move the gripping element in a retracted position in which the writing instrument is spaced from the writing surface and an advanced position in which the writing instrument contacts the writing surface, a control unit (ECU) configured to control the actuator so as to draw one or more lines on the writing surface when the writing head moves. The plotter further comprises a closing device for the writing instrument movably selectively between an open position in which the gripping element is in the advanced position so that a writing tip (P) touches the surface writing outside the writing head and in a closed position in which the gripping element is in the retracted position and a cavity is closed.
