In some examples, a supply component for a printing device includes a memory device comprising a plurality of corrective data to produce a corresponding plurality of color tables each customized for a respective media type of a plurality of media types, wherein a respective corrective data of the plurality of corrective data corresponds to nodes of a reference color table for the printing device that is able to accept the plurality of media types for printing. The respective corrective data includes a plurality of residual values to transform the nodes of the reference color table to a customized color table for use with a selected media type of the plurality of media types.

Drawing system and method of generating characteristic function
A drawing system according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a storage, an operation section, and a drawing section. The storage stores a characteristic function that derives output setting values of light sources on the basis of drawing coordinates, an absorbance correlation value, and gradation values in a leuco color space. The operation section derives the output setting values by inputting, to the characteristic function, the drawing coordinates, gradation values of leuco image data described in the leuco color space, and an absorbance correlation value obtained by measuring the recording medium. The drawing section includes the light sources, and controls output of the light sources on the basis of the output setting values derived by the operation section to thereby perform drawing on the recording medium.

An image-processing apparatus generates data to be outputted to formation unit which form a shaped article on a recording medium. An acquisition unit acquire first shape data that represents a shape of unevenness. A first generation unit generates edge data that represents a shape of an edge of the unevenness, based on the first shape data. A second generation unit generates first recording amount data that represents a recording amount of a first recording material that is used to form at least a part of the edge in the edge data on the recording medium, or first dot arrangement data that represents dot arrangement of the first recording material on the recording medium, based on the edge data.
NON-LINEAR POWER CONTROL OF A THERMAL PRINT HEAD IN A PLASTIC CARD PRINTER
Printing multi-color images on non-vinyl plastic identification documents in identification document printing systems. A non-linear pixel density adjustment curve is used to adjust the pixel density data of a multi-color image to be printed which adjusts the power applied to the thermal print head. The use of a non-linear pixel density adjustment curve to adjust the pixel density data improves the quality of the resulting multi-color printed image, reduces mass transfer of the dye donor layer, and reduces breaking of the carrier film of the print ribbon.
