Method and system for precise placement
One embodiment provides a device comprising at least one movable unit, at least one sensor, a printer, at least one processor, and a non-transitory processor-readable memory device storing instructions that when executed by the at least one processor causes the at least one processor to perform operations. The operations include receiving layout and design information, receiving, from the at least one sensor, contextual information indicative that the at least one movable unit is in direct contact with a surface, and triggering the printer to print one or more markings on the surface as the at least one movable unit moves along the surface based on the layout and design information.

PRINTING INDEPENDENT IMAGES BY SHARING PRINTER HEADS
The disclosed embodiments include a printer having a printing area configured to receive distinct mediums, and printer heads arranged relative to the printing area. The printer heads are collectively configured to print independent images onto the distinct mediums. The printer heads include at least one shared printer head configured to simultaneously print portions of the independent images onto each of two adjacent mediums.
TABLET PRINTING APPARATUS AND TABLET PRINTING METHOD
According to one embodiment, a tablet printing apparatus includes: a conveyer configured to convey a tablet along a line; an applicator head including a plurality of nozzles arranged in a direction crossing the conveyance direction of the tablet conveyed by the conveyer, configured to perform printing on the tablet by ejecting a liquid from the nozzles; and a controller configured to control the ejection of the liquid from the nozzles of the applicator head. The length of an array of the nozzles in a direction perpendicular to the conveyance direction is equal to or longer than the length of the tablet in the direction perpendicular to the conveyance direction. The controller is further configured to control switching of a nozzle used for printing on the tablet among the nozzles by a plurality of sections determined in advance.

Ribbon cartridge
A ribbon cartridge includes: a winding-side cylinder part that guides an ink ribbon and into which a winding shaft is inserted when the ribbon cartridge is installed in a cartridge installation part; a first ribbon guide that guides the ink ribbon at a position on a downstream side of the winding-side cylinder part in a feeding direction of the ink ribbon; and a second ribbon guide that guides the ink ribbon at a position on the downstream side of the ribbon guide in the feeding direction. The first ribbon guide is on an inner side of the second ribbon cartridge with respect to a guide imaginary line connecting the winding-side cylinder part and the second ribbon guide to each other when seen from a front side of the ribbon cartridge in an installation direction.
MANUAL MEDIA SHEET INSERTION AT DUPLEX REVERSAL POINT OF DUPLEX PRINTING PATH
A media sheet is manually inserted at a duplex reversal point of a duplex printing path of the printing device. The media sheet is advanced through the duplex printing path. As the media sheet advances through the duplex printing path, the media sheet is printed on, and the printed media sheet output from the printing device.
