Example implementations provide a controller for controlling printing of a printer, the controller comprising: an input interface for accessing an image to be printed; an image processor to identify at least one selected feature within the image; and circuitry: a. to control printing of said at least one selected feature using a respective print operation; and b. to control printing of said image, other said at least one selected feature, using a further respective print operation; c. said respective print operation being different to said further respective print operation.

Disclosed herein is a sheet-folding apparatus which includes transporting rollers, folding rollers, a pushing member provided between the transporting rollers and the folding-rollers, and a guide unit for guiding the sheet to the folding-roller pair by using the pushing member.

A control device for controlling an image processing apparatus including a disposition unit on which a printing medium is disposed and which has a plurality of suction holes for sucking the printing medium includes a display controller that displays, on a display, a display screen which is a screen showing the positions of the plurality of suction holes in the disposition unit, a selection receiver that receives selection of suction holes from the plurality of suction holes whose positions are displayed on the display screen, and an execution controller that performs control such that a suction operation is executed through at least some of the selected suction holes.

A paper sheet handling apparatus includes a plurality of mechanical units including a paper sheet handling unit, the plurality of mechanical units each including a processor, a programmable logic device (PLD) controlled by the processor, a first mechanical module including a first mechanical element controlled by the PLD, and an interface that connects a second mechanical module including a second mechanical element, wherein when the processor detects connection of the second mechanical module via the interface, the processor reads, from a second storage included in the second mechanical module, the second storage storing second firmware of the processor configured to control the first mechanical element and the second mechanical element and second data for use in configuring a logic circuit of the PLD configured to control the first mechanical element and the second mechanical element, the second firmware to load the second firmware onto the processor.

A paper sheet handling apparatus includes a plurality of mechanical units including a paper sheet handling unit, the plurality of mechanical units each including a processor, a programmable logic device (PLD) controlled by the processor, a first mechanical module including a first mechanical element controlled by the PLD, and an interface that connects a second mechanical module including a second mechanical element, wherein when the processor detects connection of the second mechanical module via the interface, the processor reads, from a second storage included in the second mechanical module, the second storage storing second firmware of the processor configured to control the first mechanical element and the second mechanical element and second data for use in configuring a logic circuit of the PLD configured to control the first mechanical element and the second mechanical element, the second firmware to load the second firmware onto the processor.
