Three-dimensional printing on glass containers

This disclosure describes substrate(s) formed with a three-dimensional (3D) feature thereon, and method(s) of printing the same. One method includes identifying a plurality of locations on a substrate surface where the three-dimensional feature will be formed, determining a height value of the three-dimensional feature at each location, assigning a grayscale value to each location based on the height value, and applying ink to the substrate surface at each location according to the assigned grayscale value.

A method for manufacturing an engineered stone, the method including: providing a mixture comprising at least a stone or stone like material and a binder; compacting the mixture; curing the binder; and further comprising printing a printed pattern on at least a top surface of the engineered stone.

Glass Container Having an Inkjet Printed Image and a Method for the Manufacturing Thereof

The present invention is directed to a glass container having an outer glass surface with an inkjet printed image provided on said surface, characterized in that a CEC with a thickness between 0 to 20 nm is present between the outer glass surface and the inkjet printed image. Such glass container is preferably a one-way beverage bottle. In addition, the present invention is directed to a method of inkjet printing an image on a glass container comprising the steps of: a) manufacturing a glass container having a CEC layer; b) removing at least part of the CEC layer to a level wherein the remaining CEC layer has a thickness of 0 to 20 nm; c) inkjet printing an image on the glass container

Method and composition for ink jet printing on a nonabsorbent substrate

Ink jet printing on a non-absorbent substrate involves a wet primer having a primer viscosity. The wet primer is applied on the non-absorbent substrate. An ink jet ink having an ink jet viscosity lower than the primer viscosity is jetted over the wet primer while the primer is still wet. The wet primer and ink are simultaneously cured on the substrate.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING SUBSTRATE

The present disclosure provides a method for processing a substrate that can maintain a production amount even when a production model is changed. The method for processing a substrate comprises: disposing the substrate on a levitation stage; measuring a distance between the substrate and an inkjet head module; and changing a discharging speed of ink to be discharged from the inkjet head module based on the measured distance.

METHOD FOR OBTAINING GLAZINGS PROVIDED WITH ELECTROCONDUCTIVE PATTERNS

A method for obtaining a glazing includes a glass sheet covered, on one of its faces with electroconductive patterns having in at least one area, a so-called extra thickness area, a greater thickness than in the other areas, the method including depositing by screenprinting a first electroconductive layer forming patterns on one side of the glass sheet, then depositing by a digital printing technique, in the or each extra thickness area, a second electroconductive layer on the first layer while the latter is still wet, then a heat treatment step to cure the first and the second layer.

Printing Substance For Coating Glass Surfaces

The present invention relates to a printing substance for coating glass surfaces by way of an ink jet printing method, the printing substance comprising A) at least one monomer having at least one C—C double bond; B) at least one cationically curable monomer comprising epoxy groups; C) at least one cationically curable monomer comprising oxetane groups; D) at least one adhesion agent. In addition, the present invention describes a method for producing the printing substance and the use thereof.

Provided is an object to be printed which can improve the quality of a printed image in inkjet printing on the object to be printed, regardless of the resolution of an inkjet image. In a method for producing an object to be printed having an area to be printed on a surface thereof, a surface of the area to be printed is adjusted so that the area to be printed has a surface energy E (mN/m) of 30 or more and 50 or less. The object to be printed is selected from a can and a film for containers.

Use of a component in a composition, composition for laser transfer printing, and laser transfer printing method

Use of a laser-activatable component in a composition and/or use of a composition that includes the laser-activatable component, during laser transfer printing, characterized in that the laser-activatable component is activated by laser irradiation during use in such a way that the viscosity and/or the elasticity and/or the tack of the composition increase(s) due to an increase in temperature of the composition, wherein the laser-activatable component is a polymer made up of the groups comprising polyethylene glycol, polyvinylpyrrolidone, polyvinyl acetate, polyvinyl alcohol, polyacrylate, polyester, or copolymers of these polymers or blends.

Inkjet inks for ceramic tile decoration

Solvent-based pigmented ceramic inkjet ink compositions including a solvent blend consisting predominantly of one or more hydrophobic solvent(s) (preferably one or more hydrophobic long chain hydrocarbon solvent(s)) are capable of achieving superior print quality when applied over unfired glazes by the inclusion of less than 10% by weight of the composition of a water-soluble solvent, especially glycol ethers. These ink compositions are particularly suited to ceramic tile decoration via the double fast firing process, with resulting improvements in absorption, color strength and print definition.
