IMAGE PRINTING METHOD, IMAGE PRINTING APPARATUS, AND PRINTED MATTER
Provided is an image printing method including a first processing fluid applying step of applying a first processing fluid containing a multivalent metal salt to a predetermined region of a print medium, and a second processing fluid applying step of applying a second processing fluid containing a resin emulsion containing an anionic functional group to the predetermined region of the print medium to which the first processing fluid is applied and any other region of the print medium to which the first processing fluid is not applied.
Sheet with feeding perforation
A printable sheet assembly and method provide for feeding cardstock sheets through a printer. The printable sheet assembly may include a first fold region. The first fold region comprises a robust perforated line disposed horizontally across the sheet assembly. The printable sheet assembly may include a second fold region. The second fold region may comprise a second robust perforated line disposed horizontally across the sheet assembly. The sheet assembly may include a product such as a name tag, business card, label, or card formed into the sheet assembly and configured to be processed through a printer device to receive indicia thereon.
RECORDING MEDIUM, RECORDED MATTER, AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURING THE MEDIUM AND THE MATTER
A recording medium, including: an ink-receiving layer configured to receive an ink for inkjet recording; and a transparent sheet having a total luminous transmittance of 50% or more, wherein the recoding medium has a layered structure in which the transparent sheet and the ink-receiving layer are sequentially stacked, and the ink-receiving layer includes a gap-absorption-type ink-receiving layer including a composition including at least inorganic fine particles and polyvinyl alcohol having a weight-average polymerization degree of 2,000 or more and 5,000 or less and a saponification degree of 70 mol % or more and 90 mol % or less.
PRINTABLE RECORDING MEDIA
A printable recording media that contains a substrate, an ink receiving layer having a (WT)IR factor of less than 0.9 on the image side of the substrate, and a curvature control layer having a the (WT)CC of less than 0.6, on the backside side of the substrate. The printable recording media has an R value, (WT)IR/(WT)CC that is ranging from 1.6 to 3.0. The ink receiving layer and the curvature control layer include, at least, a single or multiple types of polymeric binders and, at least, a single or multiple types of inorganic pigment particles.
System and method for applying an image to a substrate to form a display article
A product for displaying an image or object (e.g., printed photo or a print, etc.) according to at least one implementation includes a first sheet having a front face and a rear face. An image or object is formed along the rear face. The product also includes an adhesive coated substrate, such as a ferrous metal substrate, to which the first sheet is adhesively affixed.
Decorative sheet and method for manufacturing molded article
Provided is a decorative sheet in which a graphic is less deteriorated even after injection molding. First and second graphic layers contain a plurality of interference pigments that emit respective interference lights having respective colors in a first direction in first and second binders to exhibit first and second mixed colors. An optical functional layer changes a reflectance property of light. The first and second graphic layers represent a graphic visually recognizable from a front surface of a decorative sheet and allow visually recognizing an image displayed on a back surface from the front surface. The optical functional layer increases at least one of ratios of an amount of visible light representing the graphic and an amount of visible light representing the image that transmits through the first and second graphic layers to an amount of visible light reflected by and visible on the front surface.
AQUEOUS INK COMPOSITION, INK SET, PRINTED MATERIAL, AND METHOD OF PRODUCING PRINTED MATERIAL
Provided is an aqueous in ink with which the granularity of an ink coating caused in printing on a less-ink-absorbent or non-ink-absorbent recording medium is reduced while sufficient image fastness is achieved even printing on an ink-absorbent recording medium. The present invention relates to an ague-gas ink composition for use in an inkjet recording method. The aqueous ink composition contains an aqueous medium, a pigment, and a dye, and a combination of the pigment and the dye is a predetermined combination.
INKJET PRINTED ARTICLES AND METHOD OF MAKING
An aqueous composition can be used for pre-treating a substrate prior to inkjet printing to provide a white opaque background for inkjet-printed images. This aqueous composition includes: (a) one or more water-soluble salts of a multivalent metal cation at 5-30 weight %; (b) a nonionic or cationic water-soluble or water-dispersible polymeric binder material at 5-30 weight %; and (c) surface-treated visible light-scattering particles having a D.sub.50 (median) particle size of at least 0.04 μm and up to and including 2 μm in an amount of 5-60 weight % based on the total aqueous composition weight. The pre-treated substrate is useful as an inkjet receiving medium that can be readily inkjet-printed particularly with anionically-stabilized aqueous pigment-based inks.
Water-soluble azo compound or salt thereof, ink and recording medium
A compound represented by formula (1) or a salt thereof, and an ink including the same. In formula (1), each Q independently represents a halogen atom; R.sup.11 and R.sup.12 independently represent an alkyl group substituted by an ionic hydrophilic group; and A.sup.1 represents a C1-C3 alkoxy-substituted alkylamino group ##STR00001##
Pretreatment liquid and ink set
A pretreatment liquid that is used together with an aqueous inkjet ink containing a pigment and water, wherein the pretreatment liquid contains resin microparticles (A), a surfactant (B), a coagulant (C) and water, the surfactant (B) contains a polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether (b-1), and the coagulant (C) contains a polyvalent metal salt and/or a cationic polymer compound and has a water absorptivity at a temperature of 40° C. and a relative humidity of 80% of 75% by mass or less.
