A printed media display system includes a media mounting surface carrying discrete male touch fastening elements arranged in a field extending across the surface, and print media in the form of a flexible sheet having a fastening side and a print side, the fastening side featuring engageable fibers in a fibrous field extending across a length and width of the flexible sheet. The system exhibits particularly good wrinkle propagation and engaged alignment properties.

Embossed print media

The present disclosure is drawn to embossed print media including a media substrate having a front side and a back side, an embossed image-receiving layer formed on the front side of the media substrate at a coating weight of 3 gsm to 50 gsm, and a fabric liner coupled to the back side of media substrate via an adhesive layer. The embossed image-receiving layer can include a first pigment filler and a first polymeric binder. The adhesive layer can be applied at a coating weight from 20 gsm to 40 gsm and can include a second polymeric binder and a flame-retarding filler.

Fabric print medium

A fabric print medium comprising a fabric base substrate; a primary coating composition with a polymeric binder and filler particles applied to, at least, one side of the fabric base substrate; an image-receiving coating composition with a first and a second crosslinked polymeric network applied over the primary coating composition; and a barrier layer comprising a water-repellent agent and a physical gelling compound. Also disclosed are the method for making such fabric print medium and the method for producing printed images using said material.

A method of forming an image on a print media including releasably securing a fabric layer to a carrier layer, the carrier layer including a first surface including a first area, a second surface opposite the first surface, and a first rigidity, the fabric layer including a third surface, a fourth surface opposite the third surface and including a second area, and a second rigidity less than the first rigidity, and a first adhesive, wherein the fabric layer is secured to the carrier layer by the first adhesive bonding a first portion of the fourth surface to the first surface, applying a first liquid marking material to a first portion of the third surface of the fabric layer, and drying the first liquid marking material to the first portion of the third surface with a first dryer.

A plurality of plastic sheets to be fed into a high speed printer for forming printed labels and similar articles and a stack of printed labels formed form the sheets. Each of the sheets or labels includes a core layer and opposed, upper and lower outer skin layers. The upper outer skin layer includes a polyolefin polymer as the predominant component, by weight, thereof and is capable of receiving printed indicia thereon. The core layer includes a polyolefin polymer as the predominant component, by weight, of the core layer; preferably a high crystallinity polypropylene homopolymer. The lower outer skin layer includes a polyolefin polymer as the predominant component by weight therein; the improvement wherein the lower outer skin layer includes a blend of organic and inorganic antiblocking agents or a blend of inorganic antiblocking agents; the blend including less than 10%, by weight, of the lower outer skin layer.

[Problem] To provide a thermal transfer image-receiving sheet that enables a high-density image to be formed on the receiving layer, has high easiness of cutting, and in addition, has high concave curl generation preventiveness.

[Solution] A thermal transfer image-receiving sheet according to the present invention is characterized by including a first extrusion resin layer, a substrate, a second extrusion resin layer, a porous layer, and a receiving layer, wherein the ratio of the total of the thickness of the second extrusion resin layer and the thickness of the porous layer to the thickness of the first extrusion resin layer (the total of the thickness of the second extrusion resin layer and the thickness of the porous layer/the thick of the first extrusion resin layer) is 1.05 or more and 1.40 or less, and the substrate has a bending resistance of 1600 mg or more and 2500 mg or less.

Inkjet printable film for packaging applications

An inkjet printable flexible film for packaging applications is provided which includes (a) a biaxially oriented polymer film having a thickness in the range of from 8 to 70 μm; and (b) at least one ink-receiving layer including boehmite particles and poly(vinyl alcohol) having a degree of hydrolysis of from 78 to 96 mol % in a weight ratio ranging from 6.5:1 to 20:1 coated over one surface of the biaxially oriented polymer film at a dry coating weight being in the range of from 5 to less than 25 g/m.sup.2, wherein the ink-receiving layer (b) is formed by (i) applying an aqueous coating composition including boehmite particles, an acidic dispersing agent, poly(vinyl alcohol), and boric acid and/or a borate, or (ii) applying boric acid and/or a borate in a first step and then an aqueous coating composition including boehmite particles, an acidic dispersing agent, poly(vinyl alcohol), and optionally further boric acid and/or borate. The packaging applications include the packaging of food, pet food, beverages, pharmaceuticals and/or personal care products.

Printable media

The present disclosure is drawn to printable media. A printable medium includes a substrate having a first side and a second side. An ink-receiving layer is positioned on the first side of the substrate. The ink-receiving layer includes a colloidal sol. An ink-penetrable layer is positioned on the ink-receiving layer. The ink-penetrable layer includes a binder and polymer particles having a glass transition temperature from 80° C. to 150° C. A repositionable adhesive layer is positioned on the second side of the substrate. A release liner is removably positioned on the repositionable adhesive layer. A friction control layer is positioned on the release liner, where the friction control layer includes a slip aid.

Fabric printable medium

A fabric printable medium includes a fabric base substrate including yarn strands and voids among the yarn strands; a finishing coating attached to the yarn strands of the fabric base substrate to form coated yarn strands; and pore spaces among the coated yarn strands and coinciding with at least some of the voids of the fabric base substrate. The finishing coating includes a crosslinked polymeric network. The fabric printable medium further includes a fire retardant coating applied to aback-side of the coated yarn strands.
