A method of reusing a notebook provides a notebook having a synthetic-paper page. The method also provides a thermochromic ink pen which, when used to write on the synthetic paper page, leaves thermochromic ink markings. The method further provides a moisture carrier configured to have a liquid diffused therein. The moisture carrier is configured to erase the thermochromic ink markings from the synthetic-paper page by contacting the thermochromic ink markings when the moisture carrier is moist. The method then writes with thermochromic ink on at least a portion of the synthetic-paper page. Liquid is diffused in the moisture carrier, and the portion of the synthetic-paper page having the thermochromic ink is wiped with the moist moisture carrier, such that the thermochromic ink is erased from the synthetic-paper page.

An erasable ink set includes: an erasable ink; and an erasing time adjuster which is stored separately from the erasable ink and is capable of adjusting an erasing time of the erasable ink. The erasable ink includes a color developing agent including a pH indicator, water, and at least one selected from the group consisting of a first water-soluble organic solvent and a first surfactant. The erasing time adjuster includes water and at least one selected from the group consisting of a second water-soluble organic solvent and a second surfactant.

A method of reusing a notebook provides a notebook having a synthetic-paper page. DEINKING OF PRINTED SUBSTRATES

The present invention is related to a deinking primer composition for deinking of a substrate, wherein said deinking primer composition comprises a binder component that has a polymeric backbone with pendent hydroxy or carboxy groups that have been esterified or acetalised or ketalised to such an extent that the binder component has an acid value of 0-50 mg KOH/g or a hydroxyl value of 0-600 mg KOH/g, preferably 0-400 mg KOH/g, so that a primer layer prepared from said deinking primer composition is dissolvable in an alkaline aqueous medium.

A process including providing a paper substrate; disposing a water soluble precoat composition onto all or a portion of the paper substrate to provide a treated paper; applying an image onto the treated paper using a toner or an aqueous ink to provide an imaged paper; wherein the water soluble precoat composition forms a temporary barrier between the toner or aqueous ink and the paper substrate; and wherein, during a paper pulping process, the water soluble precoat composition dissolves thereby releasing the toner or aqueous ink from the paper substrate.

The disclosure relates to ink compositions for digital printing on an external surface of a plastic article. The ink compositions comprise an ink removal-promoting additive. In some aspects, the ink removal-promoting additive can facilitate the separation or loosening of the image from the external surface of the article when the image is exposed to a liquid-based solution at an elevated temperature. Also disclosed are recyclable plastic articles having an external surface with an image printed thereon using the disclosed ink composition and methods for removing cured ink from a plastic container. According to one embodiment, a position determination unit of a printing system determines a printing position of printing information printed on an object to be printed conveyed by a conveyance machine. An erasing unit erases the printing information printed using thermochromic ink by emitting heat from a heat source, a height position of which is adjusted according to the printing position, from a direction perpendicular to a conveyance direction according to a timing at which the printing position, determined based on the printing position, passes. A printing unit includes a printer using the thermochromic ink, disposed behind the heat source along the conveyance direction, and prints information on the object to be printed from the direction perpendicular to the conveyance direction by the printer, a height position of which is adjusted according to the printing position, according to the timing at which the printing position passes. A facing mechanism causes a printing surface of the object to be printed to face a printer head of the printer at least when the printing unit prints the information.

WATER-SOLUBLE RESIN FOR PRINTING

The water-soluble resin for printing of the present invention includes a monomer unit A having a sulfonate group; and a monomer unit B having no hydrophilic group, and a percentage of the monomer unit A based on a total of all monomer units is 5 to 35 mol %. According to the water-soluble resin for printing of the present invention, a printed matter from which a printing layer can be safely and efficiently removed with neutral water and which is excellent in water resistance can be realized.

A decoloring apparatus includes an erasing unit configured to generate heat so as to erase an image formed on a sheet with an erasable material, a sheet storing unit to store one or more sheets, each having the image formed thereon with the erasable material, a sheet conveying unit configured to convey the sheets from the sheet storing unit to the erasing unit, a quantity sensor configured to detect a quantity of the sheets stored in the sheet storing unit, and a control unit configured to determine whether or not the detected quantity is greater than a predetermined value, and control the sheet conveying unit to convey the sheets and the erasing unit to generate heat, when the detected quantity is determined to be greater than the predetermined value.
