The viscoelastic gel composition has a smooth surface and is formed as a sheet and shaped for use as a printing plate. A method for using the elastomeric gel printing plates of the present invention is also provided.

Liquid-bearing articles for transferring and applying liquids

An article with an operative liquid-bearing surface is adapted for transferring that liquid to a substrate material or printing plate. The entire operative surface of the article is provided with a pattern of microscopic discrete depressions which are usually laser-engraved into the surface so that a substantially continuous wall structure remains which surrounds and defines the depressions. In particular the depressions are of a cross-sectional shape which is symmetrical about one or both of a lateral and a medial axis perpendicular thereto, and arranged adjacent one another in offset fashion, and above and below one another so that the pattern thus formed is substantially uniform and repeating. Each of at least one of the pairs of lateral or medial sidewalls of any one depression are contoured, the contour of one of the pair being generally the mirror image of the other.

The present invention relates to using soft secondary plates and specialty inks in a printing process. More specifically, the present invention relates to an apparatus and methods of using soft secondary plates made of a rubber comprising a saturated chain of polymethylene or a photopolymer material to decorate an exterior surface of cylindrical metallic containers with high definition graphics and other indicia.

Method for coating surface of moving part of vehicle and moving part of vehicle manufactured by the same

A method for coating a surface of a moving part of a vehicle may include a coating preparation process of disposing a screen having a plurality of meshes to be distanced from a surface of the moving part of the vehicle to be coated depending on a predetermined spaced distance; and a coating layer deposition process of forming a coating layer having a pattern having a shape in which a plurality of embossings corresponding to the mesh shape is repeated on the surface of the moving part of the vehicle by a vacuum deposition scheme and forming the coating layer so that the adjacent emboss is connected to each other.

Method for manufacturing and regenerating a functional surface of an anilox sleeve or anilox roller for a printing machine and anilox sleeve or anilox roller with such functional surface

A method for manufacturing and regenerating a functional surface of an anilox sleeve or anilox roller for a printing machine with a coating protecting against wear and corrosion. The anilox sleeve is preferably made out of a lightweight plastic on which an intermediate layer is applied and has a metal tube located above the intermediate layer. During a first phase, the worn engraving and the old layer are ground off from the cylindrical surface of the anilox sleeve, that is to say from the metal tube, and a coating, a carbidic tungsten carbide-cobalt-chromium layer (WCCoCr) is subsequently applied. This carbidic layer is applied by a high-speed flame spraying (HVOF) process and subsequently functionalized by laser.
