Inkjet recording apparatus
Provided is an inkjet recording apparatus that performs inkjet recording on a recording medium in a recording region. The inkjet recording apparatus includes a recording head that includes an ejection port surface where an ejection port for ejecting ink is provided, is the recording head being movable within a range including the recording region and a non-recording region where the recording is not performed, a cap capable of letting the ejection port in a capping state in the non-recording region, a blade that is placed between the recording region and the cap in a moving direction of the recording head, the blade being capable of wiping the ejection port of the recording head as the recording head moves from the non-recording region to the recording region, a blade moving unit capable of moving the blade up and down, and a control unit that controls the blade moving unit.
Liquid ejecting apparatus and maintenance method for liquid ejecting apparatus
A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a liquid ejecting head having a nozzle surface and configured to eject liquid from a nozzle formed at the nozzle surface, a wiper configured to perform wiping with respect to the nozzle surface, a condition detection unit configured to detect the inner condition of a pressure chamber communicating with the nozzle, and a control unit configured to change wiping conditions for wiping the nozzle surface by using the wiper in accordance with the detected inner condition of the pressure chamber.
LIQUID DISCHARGE APPARATUS AND WIPER USED IN LIQUID DISCHARGE APPARATUS
A liquid discharge apparatus includes: a head having a lower surface including a nozzle surface in which a nozzle is opened; a wiper making contact with the nozzle surface of the head and wiping the nozzle surface; and a driving part driving at least one of the wiper and the head to thereby cause the wiper to move relative to the head toward one side in a wiping direction in a state that the wiper makes contact with the nozzle surface. The wiper includes: a wiper body having a wiping part wiping the nozzle surface, and a projection projecting from the wiper body toward the other side in the wiping direction. After the wiping part of the wiper body is separated from an end part on the one side in the wiping direction of the nozzle surface, the projection makes contact with the lower surface of the head.
Apparatus for Cleaning Surfaces
An apparatus for cleaning surfaces of a printing press has an adjusting device having a pressing element for pressing a cleaning element against the surface to be cleaned when needed. The adjusting device has a drive for moving the pressing element relative to the surface to be cleaned between a home position, in which the cleaning element is positioned at a distance from the surface to be cleaned, and a cleaning position in which the cleaning element is in contact with the surface to be cleaned or, respectively, is in the direct proximity of the surface to be cleaned. An overload safety device is configured to respond upon a critical force acting on at least one of the adjusting device or pressing element being exceeded and to move the pressing element into an overload position.
Recording apparatus
The printer includes a transport unit having a support surface for supporting a medium, a line head recording on the medium by ejecting ink from a nozzle provided on an ejecting surface thereof, a head moving portion for moving the line head along a moving direction with respect to the transport unit, and a first maintenance unit movably provided in a first direction for covering the ejecting surface. The moving direction intersects a horizontal plane at an angle of 45 degrees or less, the first direction intersects the horizontal plane at an angle of 45 degrees or more and less than 90 degrees, and a movement amount of the first maintenance unit in the first direction is equal to or larger than a movement amount of the line head in the moving direction when the printer is installed on a horizontal plane.
Cleaning elements for print apparatus
In an example, a method includes rotating a print apparatus component to be cleaned about a first rotational axis. A cleaning element having a cleaning surface in contact with the print apparatus component may be driven such that the cleaning surface has a component of motion which is parallel to the first rotational axis in a contact region. A relative velocity of the cleaning element and the print apparatus component may be varied during a cleaning operation.
Module for a three-dimensional (3D) object printer to prepare 3D objects for surface printing
A surface treatment module is positioned within a printing system to treat the surface of three-dimensional objects prior to printing of the objects. The surface treatment module includes an actuator operatively connected to an applicator so operation of the actuator presses a portion of a cleaning membrane against the surfaces of the three-dimensional objects to remove material from the object surfaces and retracts the applicator and cleaning membrane from the object surface before the objects pass by an array of printheads in the printing system for printing.
Fluid ejection dies including strain gauge sensors
A fluid ejection system includes a fluid ejection die, a service station assembly, and a controller. The fluid ejection die includes at least one strain gauge sensor to sense strain. The service station assembly is to service the fluid ejection die. The controller is to receive the sensed strain from the at least one strain gauge sensor during servicing of the fluid ejection die and adjust or stop servicing of the fluid ejection die in response to the sensed strain exceeding a servicing threshold.
