A book having a chewable element or a portion that can be used as a teether or a teething element, for example, for child to get dental stimulation when the child inserts the book or a part of the book into a mouth. The book includes a plurality of pages and a spine positioned along edge portions of the pages. The edge portions of the pages can be secured directly or indirectly to the chewable element or the portion. The chewable element can have a bore to accommodate a ring. A second or another chewable element can be secured or positioned at a distance from the first chewable element.

In an open position, the pages can be split into left and right stacks. Indicia on a top page of the left stack are equivalent to indicia on a top page of the right stack. Relative orientations of the indicia enable each of a pair of users to view the indicia on one of the pages at the same time. Each underlay and overlay can be interleaved between pages of one stack, or placed on the top page of that stack.

Pins extend through the covers and pages along a binding side and into the binding couplers to create a durable binding for the rigid paged book. A ridged paged book may have an interleaved book binding configured proximal to a top and/or bottom edge. A ridged paged book may be made out of metal including the covers and pages and the couplers and pins.

A method of reusing a notebook provides a notebook having a synthetic-paper page. The method also provides a thermochromic ink pen which, when used to write on the synthetic paper page, leaves thermochromic ink markings. The method further provides a moisture carrier configured to have a liquid diffused therein. The moisture carrier is configured to erase the thermochromic ink markings from the synthetic-paper page by contacting the thermochromic ink markings when the moisture carrier is moist. The method then writes with thermochromic ink on at least a portion of the synthetic-paper page. Liquid is diffused in the moisture carrier, and the portion of the synthetic-paper page having the thermochromic ink is wiped with the moist moisture carrier, such that the thermochromic ink is erased from the synthetic-paper page.

There is disclosed a book with a front cover formed by a front base layer and a front decorative layer. The front base layer has a first front face portion, a second front face portion, and a front free edge. The front decorative layer is disposed on the second front face portion. The book has a rear cover formed by a rear base layer and a rear free edge. A binding layer extends across the rear base layer and along the first face portion of the front base layer cover. The binding layer is adhered with the rear base layer and the first face portion so that the front decorative layer extends from the front free edge and across the second front face portion. An edge of the binding layer abuts an edge of the front decorative layer. This arrangement eliminates a free edge between along the front cover of the book. The book includes one or more pages disposed between the front and rear covers. The pages each include respective page base layers and each base layer including a page binding edge. The page binding edge is connected with the binding layer.
