Security device
A security device including an array of lines printed or otherwise provided on a substrate, the lines including materials which have the same appearance under visible light illumination but which appear different from each other in the visible under a combination of visible and non-visible, ultraviolet illumination. At least some of the lines in the array appear different from other lines under the combination of visible and non-visible, ultraviolet illumination. A second, surface relief array of lines imposed on the first array, the orientation, line widths and spacings of the first and second arrays being such that the device exhibits a variable appearance as it is tilted while exposed to the combination of visible and non-visible illumination.
Optically variable surface pattern
An optically variable surface pattern is made available, having at least two partial areas with reflection elements, wherein the reflection elements of the first partial region on the one hand and the reflection elements of the second partial region on the other hand reflect impinging light in different reflection directions. The first partial region is so covered with a first glazing ink layer that a viewer, upon a change of the viewing angle at which the viewer views the optically variable surface pattern, sees the first partial region glow in a first color upon reaching a first viewing angle. The second partial region glows in a second color that is different from the first color upon reaching a second viewing angle.
Image display, labeled article, and methods of manufacturing thereof
An image display that is to be transferred from a support onto a substrate and displays an image including personal information, according to a possible embodiment, includes: a base layer releasably supported by the support, having a light-transmitting property, a first pattern including a hologram and/or diffraction grating and transferred onto a main surface of the base layer, the first pattern displaying a first image including at least a piece of the personal information, the first pattern including dot-shaped portions, each center of the dot-shaped portions being located on a lattice point of a virtual planer lattice; and a second pattern displaying a second image, comprising an ink, and transferred onto the main surface of the base layer. At least a part of the first pattern and at least a part of the second pattern are juxtaposed on a same plane parallel to the main surface of the base layer.
Security structure
The present disclosure relates to a security structure including a non-opaque, preferably transparent, substrate. The substrate supports metal elements forming a revealing pattern. The metal is thin enough for the metal to be non-opaque. A lacquer is placed at least partially, preferably exactly, on top of the metal elements. The lacquer may be in contact with the metal elements.
Security document with security feature
A security element for a security document comprises a first, second, third and fourth line grid which contrasts with the substrate surface, each of said grid being associated with a pattern comprising an embossed structure of the substrate. A first, second, third and fourth pattern angle differ from one another. A first security information item is coded as a first localized distribution of the first and second pattern, a second security information item is coded as a localized distribution of the third and the fourth pattern. The first and the second security information items overlap one another in the process. By disposing the first and second pattern in first grid cells and by disposing the third and fourth pattern in second grid cells and by arranging the first and second grid cells in alternating fashion, specific intensity distributions occur in different viewing directions of the security document, the intensity distributions being useful for examining the authenticity of the document.
Security device for security document
A security device for verifying an authenticity of a security document comprises an at least partially transparent substrate with a first surface and a second surface. A first pattern is arranged on the first surface. A second pattern is arranged on said second surface. The first and the second pattern each comprise a plurality of pixels with at least three different gray levels visible from a macroscopic perspective. The first and second pattern cover only gray levels in a range between 20% black and 80% black, in particular between 35% black and 65% black. The first pattern is inverted with respect to the second pattern.
Security element and identification document
The invention relates to a security element (1) with authentication information (2) for checking the correct combination of two support parts (3, 4, 5), characterized in that the security element (1) comprises at least one first partial element (6) comprising first partial information (7) and a second partial element (8) comprising second partial information (9). The first partial element (6) can be associated with a first support part (3) and the second partial element (8) can be associated with a second support part (4), both partial elements (6, 8) can be moved from a starting position into a checking position in which both partial elements (6, 8) overlap. The first partial information (7) and the second partial information (9) represent the authentication information (2) when in the checking position.
Multichannel optically variable device
A security element, a security device including a security element and a method of manufacturing a security device. The element having focusing elements and image elements, the image elements are located in an object plane such that each image element is associated with one of the focusing elements, wherein the object plane includes at least first and second distinct subregions, and an image element within the first subregion is phase-displaced by a phase-displacement distance with respect to an image element within the second subregion, and wherein the first and second subregions produce first and second optically variable images or part-images.
Optically variable element
An optically variable element has first and second diffraction gratings which are high-frequency and therefore act reflectively into the zero diffraction order. Either a first color is generated by the first diffraction grating at a particular angle of rotation and a particular angle of illumination and simultaneously a second color, different from the first color, is generated by the second diffraction grating or a visible color is generated essentially only by the first diffraction grating at a first angle of rotation and a visible color is generated essentially only by the second diffraction grating at a second angle of rotation.
Optically variable magnetic security threads and stripes
The present invention relates to the field of the protection of value documents and value commercial goods against counterfeit and illegal reproduction. In particular, the present invention relates to security threads or stripes to be incorporated into or onto security documents. The security threads or stripes comprise i) an optically variable layer; ii) a magnetic code; and iii) a non-metallized substrate, wherein the magnetic code has a color matching the color impression of the optically variable layer at one viewing angle and wherein the optically variable layer and the magnetic code are jointly visible from one side of the security thread or stripe.
