STYLUS
A stylus suitable for an electronic device is provided. The stylus comprises a pen barrel and a pen core. The pen barrel has a sidewall and at least one first protrusion, and the first protrusion is located at an inner side of the sidewall. The pen core movably passes through the pen barrel. The pen core has a pen tip and at least one second protrusion. Under a first status, the first protrusion and the second protrusion are dislocated from each other. Under a second status, the first protrusion and the second protrusion are aligned with each other to make a part of pen barrel expand and deform.
WRITING INSTRUMENT AND METHOD THEREOF
A writing instrument extending between a first end and a second end, the writing instrument including a writing element, a first housing member extending between the first end and the second end and oriented about at least a portion of the writing element, and a second housing member extending between the first end and the second end and oriented about at least a portion of the first housing member, the second housing member being configured to move relative to the first housing member, between a first relative position and a second relative position, and at least a portion of the second housing member being configured to move radially with respect to the first housing member, wherein the relative movement of the second housing member automatically transitions the writing instrument from a writing state toward a non-writing state.
Retractable nosecone writing instrument
The writing instrument includes a body, a nosecone, and an adapter. The body, nosecone, and adapter each include a generally hollow tubular shape and an inner surface, outer surface, first end, and second end. The first end of the adapter is coupled to the second end of the nosecone. The second end of the adapter is configured to slidably couple to the first end of the body. The writing instrument includes a writing element with a mounting end and a writing end. The mounting end of the writing element is removably coupled to a second end of the body. The adapter includes a track and the track includes a recessed channel in the outer surface of the adapter. The body includes at least one protrusion that extends inwards from the inner surface of the body. The protrusion slidably engages with the track of the adapter.

The first end of the adapter is coupled to the second end of the nosecone. The second end of the adapter is configured to slidably couple to the first end of the body. The writing instrument includes a writing element with a mounting end and a writing end. The mounting end of the writing element is removably coupled to the second end of the body. The adapter includes a track and the track includes a recessed channel in the outer surface of the adapter. The body includes at least one protrusion that extends inward from the inner surface of the body. The protrusion slidably engages with the track of the adapter.
Automatically retractable writing instrument
A writing instrument has a nib that can retract automatically upon release of a grip on the writing instrument. The writing instrument has one or more leaves that can be flexed to push the cartridge towards the front end of the writing instrument to expose the nib. A spring applies a force on the cartridge to automatically retract the nib when a grip on the writing instrument is released.

Under a second status, the first protrusion and the second protrusion are aligned with each other to make a part of pen barrel expand and deform.
Training pen for writing
A training pen for writing has a housing, a pen cap releasably attached to the housing, a retractable ink cartridge with a writing tip extending within an inner cavity of the housing and the cap, and three flexible, arcuate tabs extending from a lower end of the housing. The cap has six sides with side openings defined in alternating sides of the cap and a lower aperture defined at a lower end of the cap. The tabs extend through the side openings when not in use. A user can push the writing tip through the lower aperture by simultaneously depressing all of the tabs into grooves defined within the surface of the cap. Release of the tabs repositions the writing tip within the cap. Use of the pen can train a user io to properly grasp a writing utensil.
Writing instrument and method
A writing instrument between a first end and a second end including a writing element configured to transition between a non-writing state and a writing state, a first housing member oriented about at least a portion of the writing element and extending between the first end and the second end of the writing instrument, and an actuator configured to be moved between a first position and a second position, wherein the writing element is configured to transition from the non-writing state toward the writing state when the actuator moves from the first position toward the second position, and the writing element is configured to transition from the writing state to the non-writing state when the actuator moves from the second position toward the first position.
Pen assembly
A pen system comprising a cover member joined to an adapter having an anterior end of an ink cartridge disposed therein is disclosed. A pen housing covers the ink cartridge and is sealed via a plug. In one embodiment, a slit divides a surface of the adapter to allow a collapse of the adapter, thus narrowing a height of the adapter, to allow insertion of the adapter into the cover member. A first and second annular groove are disposed at a center of the adapter, where each annular groove interfaces with a cover member annular ridge to define an open and closed position of the pen. In an alternate embodiment, an annular washer having an annular ridge is disposed in the cover member, in place of the cover member annular ridge, to interface with the first and second annular groove thus defining the open and closed positions of the pen.
