A sanitary sleeve comprising a body configured to be grasped by a hand of a user, the body extending from a first end toward a second end along an axis, the body including a plurality of layers configured to be removed one at a time, and the plurality of layers including at least a first layer and a second layer, and wherein removal of the first layer of the plurality of layers exposes the second layer of the plurality of layers.

The present invention conveniently and practically addresses a significant need. The invention provides pens that are clearly labeled with a phrase to indicate that the pens contain GMP-compliant indelible ink. In one aspect, the invention provides an apparatus for writing, comprising: (i) indelible ink; (ii) a construction suitable for containing the indelible ink; and (iii) a text-based label on an outer surface of the construction, wherein the label comprises a word or phrase intended to validate the apparatus for GMP compliance, FDA compliance, and/or EMEA compliance. In another aspect, a method is disclosed for providing a writing procedure that is GMP-compliant, FDA-compliant, and/or EMEA-compliant. In yet another aspect, the invention describes a method for labeling a pen containing indelible ink.

A casing member of a writing instrument holder is provided, comprising an automatic retracting mechanism stored in the casing member and adapted to be attached to a retractable unwinding tool and adapted to allow the retractable unwinding tool to automatically retract. Another multi-purpose combination writing instrument is provided, comprising a writing instrument holder that is fan-shaped (like a hand-held fan). Yet another multi-purpose combination writing instrument is provided, comprising a writing instrument holder comprising zero, one, or two casing members comprising a hinge assembly, which comprises a hinge.

A flexible marker includes a flexible body for gripping, and a marking implement carried at least partially within the body. The body is flexible to conform to the grip preferences of a user. The body has two parallel lateral sides and a first longitudinal end defining a central apex from which the marking implement can be extended. The body can be folded along or near a central longitudinal axis to bring together two lateral sides. The body can be folded along a first laterally extending axis in a first configuration in which the marking implement extends longitudinally beyond a second longitudinal end for use of the marking implement. A writing instrument with a decorative element is provided including a housing having a first portion and a second portion, wherein at least one of the first and second housing portions has a recess positioned at a terminal edge thereof, and an decorative insert having a body and at least one decorative portion positioned on the body, the decorative portion having a shape that substantially corresponds to the shape of the recess such that only the decorative portion is visible when the first and second housing portions are connected together.
