AUXILIARY SHEET-METAL WORKING DEVICE
An auxiliary sheet-metal working device facilitates the completion of bodywork repair and painting operations with the affixing of anagrams, logos and any kind of indications. For this purpose, the device can include a flat platform with one or more rulers on at least one straight edge. In certain embodiments, the auxiliary sheet-metal working device can include at least one movable and/or removable ruler.
Layout tool with grips
A layout tool is provided for use in marking a work piece to be cut. The layout tool includes a generally flat body having an even surface, a linear edge, locating indicia adjacent the linear edge, and a gripper attached to the flat body. The gripper is movable from an initial position. In the initial position, the gripper is generally aligned with the even surface of the flat body. The gripper can be moved toward the work piece from the initial position to engage the work piece when the flat body overlies the work piece.

The gripper is movable from an initial position. In the initial position, the gripper is generally aligned with the even surface of the flat body. The gripper can be moved toward the work piece from the initial position to engage the work piece when the flat body overlies the work piece.
Adjustable square
An adjustable square has a blade including a scale, a body, a slot formed in the body for movably receiving the blade, a locking mechanism operably engaged with the body for releasably securing the blade within the slot, and an indexing member operably engaged with the body and operably engaged with the blade. The indexing member indexes the body at precise locations along the blade. A method for indexing an adjustable square is also provided. The method includes positioning a body of the adjustable square at a precise known position and indexing, with an indexing member of the adjustable square, the body of the adjustable square at the precise known position.
Placement tool
A printmaking placement tool that permits multiple aligned and layered prints comprising a main body, a plurality of paper guides, and a plurality of bores located in a top surface of the main body that are adapted to receive and engage the plurality of a paper guides. In some embodiments, a bottom surface of each of the plurality of paper guides includes an at least one protrusion adapted to be received in the plurality of bores. In further embodiments, the placement tool comprises a main body having a raised outer edge and no paper guides or corresponding bores are utilized.
Marking device holder
The marking device holder may comprise a body, an instrument holder, and a plurality of touch points. The marking device holder may be operable to move a writing instrument over a writing surface in a straight line. The writing instrument may detachably couple to the instrument holder such that the writing instrument contacts the writing surface. The plurality of touch points may form a stable base for the body that may resist tipping and may reduce friction during forward motion of the body. As non-limiting examples, the writing instrument may be a pen, a pencil, a mechanical pencil, a marker, or a stylus. As non-limiting examples, the writing surface may be paper or a device screen.
APPARATUS FOR MEASURING AND CUTTING DRYWALL
A drywall cutting tool is described. The drywall cutting tool has an elongated flat ruler with a knife blade and a handle attached to one end of the elongated flat ruler. A support bracket that has a flat top portion with a flange along one side and a pair of guides on the top. The guides receive the one end of the ruler allowing the ruler to slide along the top portion of the support bracket to any desired measurement length. A screw-down hand is also attached to the support bracket to pinch and secure the ruler at the guides so that the desired measurement length is maintained.
Line-marking tool
The line-marking tool attaches to a pad of paper. The line-marking tool comprises an anchored straight edge, a rotating straight edge, and a slewing bearing. The slewing bearing attaches the rotating straight edge to the anchored straight edge. The anchored straight edge attaches to the pad of paper such that the position of the anchored straight edge relative to the top sheet of the pad of paper is fixed. The anchored straight edge and the rotating straight edge are used to draw straight lines on the top sheet. The slewing bearing adjusts the cant of the rotating straight edge relative to the anchored straight edge such that a cant is formed between a line drawn using the rotating straight edge and a line drawn using the anchored straight edge. The slewing bearing is calibrated to form a precise angle of cant on the top sheet.
STRAIGHT-EDGE DRAWING GUIDE
A straight-edge drawing guide comprising a base having an elongated 90-degree member attached to one edge and capable of being moved along a planar surface. An angular measuring device allows a user to adjust the position of the guide to any angle relative to a desired datum. A user can then use a marking device adjacent to the guide to produce substantially straight lines.
