A system for animated painterly picture generation comprises a processor and a memory storing instructions that, when executed, cause the system to: determine a first set of brush strokes, each brush stroke being based on a two-dimensional vector; generate a first frame from the first set of brush strokes; perturb the first set of brush strokes to create additional sets of brush strokes; and generate additional frames from the additional sets of brush strokes, wherein the first frame and the additional frames form a sequence of frames that are time-coherent.

In a method of generating a print, an image of at least one work of art is scanned, thereby generating an artwork digital image. An image of at least one frame molding is scanned, thereby generating a molding digital image. An image of at least one matte is scanned, thereby generating a matte digital image. The artwork digital image, either scanned, imported or sourced from elsewhere, is combined with the molding digital image, and/or mat digital image, either scanned, imported, or sourced from elsewhere, thereby generating a combined image of the work of art surrounded by a frame made of the molding and/or matte. The combined image is printed onto a substrate. A system for generating printed artwork includes a scanner that is configured to scan works of art, mattes and moldings. A computer combines a digital artwork image with a digital molding and/or matte image, thereby generating a combined digital image that include an image of one of the works of art surrounded by an image of a frame made from one or multiple moldings and/or mattes. A printer prints the combined digital image onto a selected substrate.

An object of the present invention is to provide a method for manufacturing a reproduction of a painting, which can use different types of paintings as original paintings and reproduce the matiere of the original painting and which also improves the light stability of ink. According to the present invention, there is provided a method for manufacturing a reproduction of a painting, comprising: forming an irregularity-reproducing layer, which has irregularities reflecting the irregularities of the painting being an original painting, on a base sheet by use of a slurried mixture containing an organic binder, calcium hydroxide having a volume-based median diameter (d50), as measured by laser diffraction scattering, of 10 μm or less, and a water-insoluble inorganic powder having a volume-based median diameter (d50), as measured by laser diffraction scattering, of 5.0 μm or less; and printing the painting on the irregularity-reproducing layer by inkjet printing.

COSMETIC MATERIAL AND PRODUCTION METHOD FOR COSMETIC MATERIAL

A decorative material that can give an excellent three-dimensional effect, has a large change in shadowed parts depending on observation angle, and has advanced design aesthetics is provided. A decorative material, wherein on a first principal surface side, a plurality of independent closed regions each having a groove-shaped parallel recess and projection pattern are arranged, depths of recesses of the groove-shaped parallel recess and projection patterns vary in at least some of the closed regions, and a coloring agent is filled in at least part in a depth direction of recesses of the groove-shaped parallel recess and projection pattern in each of the closed regions.
