Methods of creating decorative concrete wall surfaces, the methods including dividing an area of a wall surface into multiple sections; marking a boundary between each pair of adjacent sections; selecting a desired width for the border area between adjacent sections; applying a cement-based slurry to each section of the wall surface using a roller brush, so each section receives at least two coats of the slurry, and each border area receives at least four coats of the slurry; smoothing the surface of the applied slurry in each section; and permitting the applied slurry to dry to form the decorative concrete wall surface.

A decorative material wherein, in a cross section in a direction orthogonal to a direction where a groove extends, the groove has a first slope part extending from one end of the groove to the deepest part of the groove, and a second slope part extending from the other end of the groove to the deepest part of the groove, wherein when an angle formed by a line segment connecting the one and other ends and a line segment connecting the one end and the deepest part is defined as θ.sub.1, and an angle formed by a line segment connecting the one and other ends and a line segment connecting the other end and the deepest part is defined as θ.sub.2, θ.sub.1 is more than θ.sub.2.

A decorative material, wherein on a first principal surface side, a plurality of independent closed regions each having a groove-shaped parallel recess and projection pattern are arranged, depths of recesses of the groove-shaped parallel recess and projection patterns vary in at least some of the closed regions, and a coloring agent is filled in at least part in a depth direction of recesses of the groove-shaped parallel recess and projection pattern in each of the closed regions.

A method of manufacturing building-wall flexible cladding (12) for a wall of a building so that a cladding outer surface of the building-wall flexible cladding (12) matches or substantially matches a textured wall surface of the wall of the building. This is first achieved by selecting the wall to be modelled (S101) and forming an impression of the wall (S102). An absorbent flexible substrate (18) is provided (S103), and a wet mixture (24) created (S105) and applied to the substrate (18, S106) to form one or more tiles (24a). The wet mixture (24) is textured by applying the impression so that the cladding outer surface corresponds or substantially corresponds to the said textured wall surface (S108). Finally, the textured wet mixture is cured (S109).

A method of manufacturing building-wall flexible cladding (12) for a wall of a building so that a cladding outer surface of the building-wall flexible cladding (12) matches or substantially matches a textured wall surface of the wall of the building. This is first achieved by selecting the wall to be modelled (S101) and forming an impression of the wall (S102). An absorbent flexible substrate (18) is provided (S103), and a wet mixture (24) created (S105) and applied to the substrate (18, S106) to form one or more tiles (24a). The wet mixture (24) is textured by applying the impression so that the cladding outer surface corresponds or substantially corresponds to the said textured wall surface (S108). Finally, the textured wet mixture is cured (S109).

This invention relates to the production of cured polymeric skin materials. In particular, the invention relates to methods and substrates for the production of skin materials, for example, for use in building, furniture, and as architectural components for example in roofing materials such as roofing tiles, or for brick wall effect materials.

An imitation ceramic vase manufactured by a method which includes the following steps. (1) Applying a primer layer material on a vase made by a non-ceramic material, and letting the primer layer material to dry. (2) Applying at least one layer of first middle layer material on the primer layer material on the non-ceramic material vase. (3) Applying at least a layer of second middle layer material on the first middle layer material, and letting the second middle layer material to dry, the second middle layer material having a color which is different from that of the first middle later material. (4) Applying a surface layer material on at least one of the first middle layer material and the second middle layer material, and letting the surface layer material to dry. The surface layer material is a polyurethane imitating porcelain surface coating or an ultraviolet imitating porcelain surface coating.

An imitation ceramic vase manufactured by a method which includes the following steps. (1) Applying a primer layer material on a vase made by a non-ceramic material, and letting the primer layer material to dry. (2) Applying at least one layer of first middle layer material on the primer layer material on the non-ceramic material vase. (3) Applying at least a layer of second middle layer material on the first middle layer material, and letting the second middle layer material to dry, the second middle layer material having a color which is different from that of the first middle later material. (4) Applying a surface layer material on at least one of the first middle layer material and the second middle layer material, and letting the surface layer material to dry. The surface layer material is a polyurethane imitating porcelain surface coating or an ultraviolet imitating porcelain surface coating.

A coating material with a primer layer, a middle layer and a surface layer and its method of application which includes the steps: (1) spraying the primer layer material onto an article; (2) spraying or brushing the middle layer material with a first color until satisfactorily coated; (3) repeating step (2) with the middle layer material having a second color and allowing drying; and (4) spraying the surface layer material of PU imitation porcelain material and allow drying to obtain the article with superior imitation ceramic effect. The present invention can be applied to any plastic and poly articles with a contoured body, making a highly imitative ceramic article such as pot or vase to replacing the existing authentic ceramic articles. Since the material being used is biodegradable, therefore effectively decreasing the level of pollution and damages to the environment and hence lessening the health hazards to human.
