METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A LIGHTWEIGHT WHEEL WITH HIGH STRENGTH FLEXIBLE SPOKES
A method of manufacturing a lightweight wheel with high strength flexible spokes of the present invention, includes providing a rim and hub, and a plurality of lightweight, flexible and resilient spokes between the rim and hub made of fibrous material that causes the spokes to be both lighter in weight and stronger than comparable steel spokes. The wheel includes a nipple within the rim that receives the high strength spoke and allows for flexibility in adapting the spoke to wheels having differing shapes and sizes.
DlSK WHEEL AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
A disk wheel, comprising a wheel rim (1) and a wheel spoke (2), the inner wall of the wheel rim outer edge (11) is matched with the first wheel spoke convex wall (9), the inner wall of the tire supporting wall (7) is attached to the strengthening wall (8), the groove (5b) is formed in the inner wall of the wheel rim round peak (5), the strengthening wall (8) is provided with the second wheel spoke convex wall (4) in interference fit to the groove (5b), and the groove (5b) is in interference fit to the second wheel spoke convex wall (4), so that the stability of axial matching between the wheel rim (1) and the wheel spoke (2) is guaranteed, and an axial stress, a circumferential stress and a radial stress of the disk wheel in the using process can be effectively addressed.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR WHEEL ASSEMBLIES AND SPOKES
A wheel assembly including a rim including a first rim hole extending through an inner surface and an outer surface of a rim at a first angle, the first angle being defined with respect to a center line through the wheel in a direction of travel at the location of the first rim hole and with respect to an axis radially normal to the rim, the first angle having a non-zero first component relative to the center line and a non-zero second component relative to the radially normal axis, a hub including a first hub hole, the first hub hole being formed at the first angle such that the first rim hole and the first hub hole are co-axial, and a first spoke extending between the first rim hole and the first hub hole, the first spoke being co-axial with the first rim hole and the first hub hole.
AUTOMATED STORAGE SYSTEMS, AND DEVICES
A load handling device is disclosed for lifting and moving storage containers stacked in a grid framework structure having first and second sets of parallel rails or tracks. The load handling device includes: a body mounted on first and second sets of wheels arranged to engage with the tracks. A direction-change assembly is arranged to raise or lower the first set of wheels and or lower or raise the second set of wheels with respect to the body to engage and disengage the wheels with the tracks. The direction-change assembly includes a linkage-set having a series of members arranged between a traveller and a fixed brace, wherein the traveller is arranged to move under an applied force to cause the wheels to raise or lower.
System and Method for a Practical Synthetic Fiber Tension Member to Rod Connection
A method and system for creating a hybrid tensile member combining a synthetic fiber cable and a rigid rod. An anchor is attached to one or more ends of the synthetic cable. The anchor is used to connect an end of the fiber cable to a length of conventional rod, preferably through the use of a swaging operation. Each rod segment includes a standard end feature on its free end—such as a threaded shaft or J-bend. The hybrid assembly can preferably be retrofitted to applications that now use a conventional rod.
AUTOMATED STORAGE SYSTEMS, AND DEVICES
A drive belt assembly for a load handling device includes a drive belt; a drive wheel; and one or more driven wheels. A first tensioning arm, having a fixed end above an elbow and a rotatable distal end pivotally attached at the elbow, is horizontally displaceable relative to the drive wheel and driven wheels. A second tensioning arm is provided wherein the drive belt is routed around the first and second tensioning arms, and the first and second tensioning arms are arranged to put pressure on the drive belt to tension the drive belt.
TUBELESS SPOKED WHEEL STRUCTURE
A tubeless spoked wheel including a rim and a hub connected with wire spokes includes a rim that has no through-hole and is narrow in the vehicle width direction. A plurality of internal threads are aligned circumferentially in an annular raised portion arranged along the centerline of a rim. A connecting member that is hollow and has an external thread on its outer periphery is screwed into each internal thread. Each connecting member is pre-engaged with a distal end of a spoke in a rotatable manner. Each spoke bends at a position outward from the connecting member, tilts toward a hub, and has its basal end connected to a right or left flange of the hub with a nipple. The spokes are connected to the annular raised portion to narrow the rim in the vehicle width direction. The spokes are rotatably supported on the connecting members.
WHEEL AND SPOKE, IN PARTICULAR FOR A BICYCLE
A spoke for an at least partially muscle-powered bicycle and wheel including a spoke where the spoke comprises a spoke body with a hub-side, first end and a rim-side, second end and the first end and the second end are remote from one another. The spoke body is elongated and includes at least one first center region disposed closer to the first end than to the second end, and at least one second center region disposed closer to the second end than to the first end. The first center region and in the second center region of the spoke body each include flattened cross-sections substantially accommodated in a longitudinal plane. In the second center region the spoke body is configured more asymmetric than in the first center region.
Wheel with High Strength Flexible Spokes
A wheel with high strength flexible spokes of the present invention, including a rim and hub, and spokes between the rim and hub made of fibrous material that causes the spokes to be both lighter in weight and stronger than comparable steel spokes. The spokes are also flexible and resilient such that they can bend while retaining their integrity and strength. The wheel includes a nipple within the rim that receives the high strength spoke and allows for flexibility in adapting the spoke to wheels having differing shapes and sizes.
Wheel and spoke, in particular for a bicycle
A bicycle spoke has a spoke body having two remote ends, a rim end, and a hub end. The elongated body includes a longitudinally flattened cross-section. The body includes a first end portion thickness at the hub end transverse to a longitudinal plane. The body includes a second end portion thickness at the rim-side end transverse to the longitudinal plane. The body includes in a first center region disposed closer to the first end portion than to the second end portion, a first center region thickness transverse to the longitudinal plane that is less than the first end portion thickness. In a second center region disposed closer to the second end portion than to the first end portion, the body has the flattened cross-section wherein the second center region includes a second center region thickness transverse to the longitudinal plane that is less than the first center region thickness.
