Wheel rim for a vehicle
A wheel rim having a central axis and comprising a central hub configured to be fixed to a suspension of a vehicle; a peripheral ring, which is arranged around the hub with a predetermined radial distance from the hub itself and is configured to receive a tire of the vehicle on a radially outermost surface thereof; a plurality of spokes equally spaced angularly from one another around the axis and connecting the peripheral ring to the hub; and at least one projection protruding in a cantilever fashion towards the hub, starting from a radially innermost surface of the peripheral ring, opposite to the radially outermost surface, and defining an airfoil configured to generate, in use, during the forward travel of the vehicle, a channelling of the air towards the outside of the wheel rim.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A MOTOR VEHICLE RIM MADE OF ALUMINUM OR AN ALUMINUM ALLOY FOR A WHEEL OF A MOTOR VEHICLE AND CORRESPONDING MOTOR VEHICLE RIM
A method for producing an automobile rim made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy for a wheel of an automobile, the automobile rim having a rim well delimited on opposite sides by an outer flange and an inner flange, a hub with a center recess and a bolt hole circle as well as a rim center connecting the rim well and the hub with one another. The automobile rim is produced in one piece and continuously in a casting mold by die casting of a casting material. The automobile rim is formed during the die casting with at least one air conveying element for conveying air in the axial direction with respect to a longitudinal center axis of the automobile rim relative to an imaginary plane perpendicular to the longitudinal center axis and/or at least one surface enlargement element extending in the circumferential direction along a circular line.
HEAT SHIELD CHIN RING
A chin ring heat shield for a wheel assembly arranged to provide a shield between convection and radiation heat from braking components and a tire of the wheel assembly, the chin ring comprising a first, radially extending, flat portion extending from a first chin ring end and a second, concave portion extending generally axially away from the first portion to a second chin ring end, wherein the axial length from the first chin ring end to the second chin ring end is sufficient to block a line of sight between the braking components and the tire when the chin ring is mounted between the braking components and the tire.
Thermal management composite heat shield
A thermal management system and methods for use are disclosed. The thermal management system comprises a shield portion and a dissipation portion. The shield portion may comprise a hot side skin, a conduction layer, an insulation layer, and a cool side skin. The dissipation portion may comprise a fin array. Heat absorbed by the shield portion is partially or fully conducted to the dissipation portion for transfer to the ambient environment. The thermal management system may be employed as an aircraft wheel heat shield, an automotive brake heat shield, a gas turbine heat shield, an electronic heat sink, and in various other applications where heat shielding and/or heat transfer are desirable.
HIGH TEMPERATURE-RESISTANT WHEEL
A high temperature-resistant wheel, comprising: an elastic hub assembly (1), which has a thermal insulation layer integrated therewith so as to insulate the elastic hub assembly (1) from exterior high temperatures; and a rigid wheel barbed ring (2), which has the elastic hub assembly (1) fastened inside and rotates together with the elastic hub assembly (1). A robot, which comprises the high temperature-resistant wheel.
VEHICLE WHEEL AND TIRE-WHEEL ASSEMBLY
A vehicle wheel having a rim part to which a tire is mounted and a vehicle body attachment part which is attached to a vehicle body, in which the rim part has, on an inner circumferential surface thereof, a plurality of fins each having a heat dissipation surface, and in which the fins are arranged periodically along a circumferential direction.
AIRCRAFT LANDING GEAR ASSEMBLY
An aircraft landing gear assembly 1 includes a wheel 10, a disc brake 20 comprising one or more discs 21, 22 and a filter 30. The disc brake is operable to inhibit rotation of wheel 10 during a braking event thereby resulting in the formation of brake dust from the one or more discs 21, 22. The filter 30 is positioned relative to the disc brake 20 such that air flows over the one or more discs 21,22, through the filter 30 and away from the assembly 1, wherein the filter 30 is configured to separate and remove at least part of the brake dust from the air and while allowing the air to pass.
Variable aerodynamic wheel and control system thereof
A variable aerodynamic wheel includes: a spoke wheel having a plurality of spokes connecting a hub and a rim together are spaced apart from each other, and a plurality of through spaces defined between the plurality of spokes to allow air to pass therethrough; a variable flap rotatably disposed in the plurality of through spaces of the spoke wheel, and configured in a shape to cover an associated through space so as to open or close the associated through space according to a rotation angle thereof; and a drive unit disposed in the spoke wheel, and connected to the variable flap such that the rotation angle of the variable flap is adjusted as rotational power is transmitted.
WHEEL DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
There is provided a wheel device for a vehicle including: a wheel having an opening formed between adjacent spokes; a brake mechanism located inside the wheel in a vehicle width direction and having a brake caliper and a brake rotor; and an arc portion extending in a circular direction in the opening and suspended between the adjacent spokes. The arc portion has a recessed portion recessed outward in the vehicle width direction inside thereof in the vehicle width direction, and the arc portion and the brake caliper are located at such positions that they overlap with each other in a state viewed in the vehicle width direction.
