A rim for a vehicle wheel and vehicle wheel herewith
A rim for a vehicle wheel having an inner and an outer rim flange, an inner and an outer rim shoulder, a rim well with well base, inner well flank and an outer well flank, a transition section and an inner hump with a hump peak. The rim is having specific material thickness in the area of the transition section. In order to improve wheels in terms of weight minimization and noise development, the transition section comprises at least one stiffening section with a radially offset wall section, the maximum radial offset of which to the adjoining transition section is greater than the material thickness in the transition section. The stiffening section has a diameter, being equal or greater than the diameter on the well base and smaller than diameter of the hump peak.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A MOTOR VEHICLE RIM FROM ALUMINUM OR AN ALUMINUM ALLOY FOR A WHEEL OF A MOTOR VEHICLE, AND CORRESPONDING MOTOR VEHICLE RIM
A method for producing a motor car rim made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy for a wheel of a motor vehicle. The motor car rim has a rim well delimited on opposite sides by an outer flange and an inner flange, a hub with a center recess and a pitch circle diameter, as well as a rim center connecting the rim well and the hub to one another and engaging the rim well off-center in the longitudinal section. The rim center is formed with several spokes spaced apart from one another in the circumferential direction as relates to a center longitudinal axis of the motor car rim.
WHEEL AND ITS REINFORCED MEMBER
A rim section 18 is provided with e disk section 20 and is secured to a jig by patting the disk section 20 as the lower side. By allowing a groove section 40 l an engaging section) provided along a circumferential direction of the inner peripheral surface 21 of the rim section 18 to engage with a bent end section 48 of a reinforced member 14 attached from the upper side of the jig, the reinforced member 14 can be easily positioned on the inner peripheral surface 21 of the rim section 18.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A MOTOR VEHICLE RIM MADE OF AN ALUMINUM ALLOY FOR A WHEEL OF A MOTOR VEHICLE AND CORRESPONDING MOTOR VEHICLE RIM
A method for producing a motor vehicle rim made of an aluminum alloy for a wheel of a motor vehicle, the motor vehicle rim having a rim base limited on opposite sides by an outer horn and an inner horn, a hub with a central recess and a hole circle, and a rim center connecting the rim base and the hub to one another. The motor vehicle rim is produced in one piece and continuously in a casting mold by die casting of a casting material, the casting material being the aluminum alloy.
VEHICLE WHEELS AND METHODS OF USE
Vehicle wheels and methods of use are provided. The vehicle wheel comprises a first region, a second region, and a third region. The first region is generally annular and comprises a first flange, a second flange opposite the first flange, and a continuous wall comprising an inner surface and an outer surface. A first tire bead seat and a second tire bead seat are defined on the outer surface. The second region is configured to mount to a vehicle axle and is offset from the first flange by an offset distance. The third region connects the second region and the third region and extends inwardly towards the longitudinal axis from an attachment location on the first region to the second region. The third region comprises a first thickness and the second region comprises a second thickness. The first thickness is no greater than 75% of the second thickness.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A MOTOR VEHICLE RIM MADE OF ALUMINUM OR AN ALUMINUM ALLOY FOR A WHEEL OF A MOTOR VEHICLE AND CORRESPONDING MOTOR VEHICLE RIM
A method for producing an automobile rim made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy for a wheel of an automobile, the automobile rim having a rim well delimited on opposite sides by an outer flange and an inner flange, a hub with a center recess and a bolt hole circle as well as a rim center connecting the rim well and the hub with one another. The automobile rim is produced in one piece and continuously in a casting mold by die casting of a casting material. The automobile rim is formed during the die casting with at least one air conveying element for conveying air in the axial direction with respect to a longitudinal center axis of the automobile rim relative to an imaginary plane perpendicular to the longitudinal center axis and/or at least one surface enlargement element extending in the circumferential direction along a circular line.
BICYCLE RIM AND WHEEL HAVING INNER PROTRUSIONS
A rim for a bicycle wheel includes a radially outer tire-engaging portion, a first sidewall, and a second sidewall spaced apart from the first sidewall. The first and second sidewalls may extend radially inward of the radially outer tire-engaging portion. The rim includes a radially inner portion having at least one asymmetric protrusion.
BICYCLE WHEEL AND RELATIVE MANUFACTURING PROCESS
A bicycle disc or spider wheel including: a hub; a rim having a radially outer tire-coupling region, a first sidewall, a second sidewall; an axis of rotation; and a median plane. A pair of pretensioned disc or spider wheel-type structural elements are integral with the hub and with the rim. The first sidewall extends on a first side of the wheel, with respect to the median plane, on which a component of a motion transmission system or, when there is none, a disc of a disc brake is provided at the hub, and the second sidewall extends on the opposite side, with respect to the median plane. The first sidewall of the rim has a minimum distance from the median plane that is smaller than that of the second sidewall of the rim.
Spoke wheel
A spoke wheel includes a light alloy rim, a hub, and a plurality of wire spokes connecting the rim with the hub. The rim includes mounting flanges provided at asymmetrical positions with respect to a widthwise center of the rim and is connected with the hub by assembling the spokes to the mounting flanges. The spokes are disposed by being offset to the widthwise center of the rim.
QUENCHING A COMPONENT
The invention relates to a component in the form of a wheel comprising: a hub portion, a rim portion with an outer rim flange and an inner rim flange, a plurality of circumferentially distributed spokes extending between the hub portion and the rim portion, wherein the spokes and the hub portion are arranged offset with respect to a wheel center plane towards the outer rim flange and have an inner side facing the wheel center plane and an outer side directed away from the wheel center plane, wherein the outer rim flange has greater tensile residual stresses at least in a partial region than at least a partial region of the inner rim flange.
