Bicycle rim adapted to reduce spoke fatigue
A bicycle rim comprising a circumferential outer portion adapted to receive a tire and a spoke bed. The spoke bed may comprise a pattern of spoke attachment segments at varying tilt angles and spaced by intermediate segments. Each spoke attachment segment may comprise an inner surface, an outer surface and a spoke opening extending from the inner surface to the outer surface. The spoke opening may be sized to accommodate a spoke nipple. The spoke opening may have a central axis angled at a complex angle that is a combination of a respective camber angle and a respective crossing angle. The complex angle may be selected to achieve a respective spoke angle. The outer surface of the spoke attachment segment adjacent to the spoke opening may extend perpendicular to the central axis of the spoke opening.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A LIGHTWEIGHT WHEEL WITH HIGH STRENGTH FLEXIBLE SPOKES
A method of manufacturing a lightweight wheel with high strength flexible spokes of the present invention, includes providing a rim and hub, and a plurality of lightweight, flexible and resilient spokes between the rim and hub made of fibrous material that causes the spokes to be both lighter in weight and stronger than comparable steel spokes. The wheel includes a nipple within the rim that receives the high strength spoke and allows for flexibility in adapting the spoke to wheels having differing shapes and sizes.
DlSK WHEEL AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
A disk wheel, comprising a wheel rim (1) and a wheel spoke (2), the inner wall of the wheel rim outer edge (11) is matched with the first wheel spoke convex wall (9), the inner wall of the tire supporting wall (7) is attached to the strengthening wall (8), the groove (5b) is formed in the inner wall of the wheel rim round peak (5), the strengthening wall (8) is provided with the second wheel spoke convex wall (4) in interference fit to the groove (5b), and the groove (5b) is in interference fit to the second wheel spoke convex wall (4), so that the stability of axial matching between the wheel rim (1) and the wheel spoke (2) is guaranteed, and an axial stress, a circumferential stress and a radial stress of the disk wheel in the using process can be effectively addressed.

WHEEL RIM
A wheel rim includes a body unit, angularly spaced-apart fastening units, and sealing units corresponding respectively in position to the fastening units. The body unit includes spokes and a peripheral wall surrounding the spokes and having radially opposite inner and outer surfaces. Each fastening unit includes a fastening member that extends through the peripheral wall and into a respective one of the spokes for fastening the same, and that has a head disposed outwardly of the outer peripheral wall, and a gasket that is clamped between the head and the outer surface and that is sleeved on the fastening member. For each fastening unit, the respective sealing unit includes an outer sealing layer adhered on an outer face of the fastening member and the outer surface for covering the head and the gasket, and an inner sealing layer adhered on and clamped between the outer surface and the gasket.
Bicycle wheel rim
A composite rim for a bicycle wheel that has a wall of structural fibers incorporated in a thermosetting polymeric material and a plurality of spoke attachment seats. The composite material includes at least one layer of woven bi-directional fibers where some fibers are in a nominal direction substantially parallel to the circumferential direction of the rim and some fibers are substantially orthogonal to the circumferential direction of the rim.
Nipple for spoked wheels, particularly for motorcycles
A nipple for spoked wheels includes a head and a rod which are coaxial and through which a through-hole extends, a manoeuvring key in the head and an insert of plastics material which is inserted in the hole in order to engage in a screwing manner with friction with a threaded end of a spoke. The hole comprises a threaded portion which extends in the rod and a portion with an increased diameter which constitutes the seat for receiving the insert, the insert being formed with a tubular sleeve inserted in the seat at the side of the head and being blocked there by means of interference or adhesive bonding.
SPOKE WHEEL
A spoke wheel for a straddle-type vehicle includes a rim having an outer peripheral surface on which a tire is mounted and an annular shape, a hub supported by an axle on an inner side of the rim and having a tubular shape, and a plurality of wire spokes connecting the rim to the hub. The rim is formed with a plurality of spoke holes through which the plurality of wire spokes pass and support surfaces receiving head portions of the plurality of wire spokes on one end sides of the plurality of spoke holes. Each of the support surfaces has a groove shape extending in a wheel rotation direction.
