WHEEL AND TIRE ASSEMBLY
A wheel assembly includes a rigid wheel and an airless flexible tire with certain performance characteristics of a pneumatic tire. The rigid wheel includes a central portion and a plurality of circumferentially spaced mounting elements removably attached to a radially outer margin of the central portion. The tire is mounted on the wheel and engages the mounting elements such that portions of the tire not engaging the mounting elements are separated radially from the wheel by a space. The tire is configured such that portions of the tire not engaging the mounting elements flex inwardly toward the wheel when subject to ground engaging pressure, thereby minimizing ground penetration and soil disruption. The tire may include one or more tension elements embedded in the tire to increase the tire's strength and resilience.
AIRCRAFT WHEEL ASSEMBLY
An aircraft wheel assembly that includes first and second hub components having an axis and respective first and second sets of circumferentially spaced apart interface elements. The first and second hub components may be rotatable relative to one another about the axis between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the first set of interface elements is axially movable relative to the second set of interface elements. In the second position the first set of interface elements axially overlaps the second set of interface elements to prevent axial movement of the first hub component relative to the second hub component.
Wheel beadlock design
An improved clamping mechanism to secure a tire between a bead ring and a wheel utilizing a bolt is provided. The bolt has a ball seat that pivots within an enlarged pilot hole in the bead ring as the bolt threads engage in threaded section of the wheel, pulling the bead ring toward the wheel. As the bead ring is tightened upon the wheel, eventually the bead ring contacts a fulcrum on the wheel, at which point the outer edge of the bead ring is leveraged against the tire bead bundle and pressing down the tire bead to lock it in place against the wheel. As the bead ring can pivot within the enlarged pilot hole around the bolt, the bolt is not stressed. Further, the wheel comprising a safety bead and non-skid coating on the inner wall of the wheel to prevent the wheel sliding around the wheel.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR ASSISTING WHEEL ASSEMBLIES
A device and method for assisting a user in aircraft wheel assemblies is disclosed herein. The device enables a single user to readily connect two wheel sections in a split wheel assembly. The device is lightweight and reusable and preferably includes two bushings, two washers, a bolt, and a nut. After inserting the bolt through the wheel sections, a nut can be tightened, thereby creating a compressive force that compresses the bushings and the wheel sections together. While the wheel sections are compressed together, a plurality of tie bolts and tie nuts can be installed on the wheel sections to complete the wheel assembly.
Reusable rim for non-pneumatic tires
A rim assembly for a non-pneumatic tire has at least two rim components including: a first rim component having a first rim flange and a first lip, and a second rim component having a second rim flange and a second lip. The rim assembly further includes a plurality of lateral rim component support structures configured to extend through a plurality of openings of a tire support structure. The rim assembly also includes a first plurality of fasteners securing the plurality of lateral rim component support structures to the first rim flange, and a second plurality of fasteners securing the plurality of lateral rim component support structures to the second rim flange.

Method of using a Wheel Beadlock Design to attach a tire to a wheel.
An improved mechanism to secure a tire between a bead ring and a wheel utilizing a bolt is provided.
