The wire rod includes a first portion located on the first surface side of the wall and a second portion located on the second surface side of the wall. The first portion includes an abutment portion that contacts the first surface adjacent the opening in the wall to suppress axial movement of the first portion of the wire rod through the opening in the wall with respect to an axial direction with respect to a center axis of the opening in the wall.
DRIVING WHEEL AND DRIVE UNIT INCLUDING THE SAME
A driving wheel includes: a hub body disposed in a central region of the driving wheel; a plurality of spoke members inserted into the hub body and movable in a radial direction R of the driving wheel relative to the hub body; and link members each having one side coupled to one of the spoke members and the other side coupled to another spoke member disposed adjacent to the spoke member to which the one side of the link member is coupled. In particular, when the spoke members move in the radial direction R, the link members are rotatable about regions coupled to the spoke members.
Axle subassembly including an electric drive/generator unit, and method for controlling an electric drive/generator unit of an axle subassembly
An axle subassembly of a trailer of a vehicle includes a wheel bearing having an outer ring mechanically connected to a shaft and an electric drive/generator operably connected to the shaft, wherein the electric drive/generator in a first state is configured to generate electricity from a rotation of the shaft and wherein the electric drive/generator in a second state is configured to drive the shaft, and a controller configured to shift the electric drive/generator unit into the first state and into the second state.
Hub unit having steering function, and vehicle provided with said hub unit
Provided is a turning function-equipped having a reduced size and having improved strength to an external shock force and improved reliability. The turning function-equipped hub unit includes: a hub unit main body; a unit support member; and a turning actuator. The unit support member is provided to a chassis frame component. The unit support member includes an abutment part with which a part of the hub unit main body is brought into abutment in a vertical direction during non-normal time, the abutment part being separated from the hub unit main body in the vertical direction during normal time, and the non-normal time in which the abutment is caused, is a time when an impact load equal to or greater than a predetermined value acts on the hub unit main body in the vertical direction due to an external force from the wheel.
SMART WHEEL ENERGY HARVESTER
Systems and methods for an energy harvester proximate to a rotatable component of a vehicle's wheel are disclosed. In some embodiments, an energy harvester system includes: a plurality of energy harvesting components configured to be coupled to a rotatable component in a ring formation along a circumference of the rotatable component, wherein each of the plurality of energy harvesting components includes: a substrate configured to be attached to a surface of the rotatable component; a piezoelectric component coupled to a surface of the substrate, wherein the piezoelectric component is configured to deform in response to a mechanical strain imparted on the piezoelectric component as the rotatable component rotates and generate an electric signal; and an interconnect coupled to the piezoelectric components and configured to conduct the electric signal from the piezoelectric components to a device coupled to the rotatable component.
WHEEL ASSEMBLY FOR A WHEELCHAIR
Wheel assembly, in particular for a wheel chair comprising. The wheel assembly includes a wheel shaft extending along a shaft axis and which is configured to be non-rotatably connectable to a frame of the wheelchair. A wheel with a wheel hub is mounted on the wheel shaft so as to be rotatable around the shaft axis. The wheel assembly is provided with a hub motor having a power input and with a rim handle connected to the wheel and being rotatable relative to the wheel over an angle. A resolver assembly of the wheel assembly comprises a wheel resolver which is configured to generate a wheel resolver signal, a rim handle resolver which is configured to generate a rim handle resolver signal, and at least one resolver assembly output for outputting the wheel resolver signal and the rim handle resolver signal.
Wheel hub
A sensor is mounted to or embedded in a wheel hub. The sensor node includes a power source and a sensing device that detects and monitors at least one parameter associated with the wheel hub. The sensor node also includes a communication module that communicates via wireless communication signals and a processing device in communication with the sensing device and the communication module. The processing device collects data from the sensing devices, processes the data, and based on that processing, communicates information relating to the wheel hub to a remote server or network. A mesh network of multiple sensor nodes can be applied to multiple different wheel hubs on a vehicle and communicate with a central processing device. The processing device can thus monitor performance and/or operation of each wheel hub.
Wheel hub assembly provided with piezoelectric spacers
A wheel hub assembly for motor vehicles, having a rotatable hub, a bearing unit in turn comprising a radially outer ring, a radially inner ring and a plurality of rolling bodies. The axial interface between the wheel hub assembly and a knuckle of a motor vehicle suspension provides at least one piezoelectric spacer configured to detect first mechanical vibrations coming from the components of the wheel hub assembly and to implement corrective action consisting of second mechanical vibrations of almost equal amplitude but with opposite direction and phase, so that the resultant of the first and second mechanical vibrations is close to zero.
ROLLER DEVICE WITH ECCENTRIC WHEEL AXLE
A rolling device having a bearing housing accommodating a wheel axle, a drive motor with first and second motor parts for conduction of relative rotation between a wheel element and the wheel axle, end portions of the wheel axle being connected to axle support members in an eccentric position displaced from the center line of the axle support members, and locks operable between an unlocked position allowing rotation of the axle support members relative to the bearing housing, and a locking position preventing the rotation of the axle support members, wherein in the unlocked position, the motor conducts rotation of the axle support members and wheel axis for displacement of the wheel element by an eccentric movement between an extended position where at least a portion of the wheel element projects outside the bearing housing and a retracted position where the wheel element is located inside the bearing housing.
