An apparatus for removing lug nuts for changing a tire on a vehicle has a bracing structure and at least three arms connected to the bracing structure. A first arm extends upward and a second arm, adapted to operate as a footrest, extends outward and both arms are positioned such that one may stand on the second arm to generate extra torque while grasping the first arm for stability. A third arm is adapted to receive a socket and is oriented along the socket's axis of rotation. All arms are collapsible for storage.

MULTIPURPOSE AND UNIVERSAL WRENCH
20220388336 · 2022-12-08 ·

A multipurpose and universal wrench for tightening and loosening a fastener, such as a lug nut. The wrench or lug nut wrench can be adapted to lug nuts of varied sizes and shapes. The wrench includes four arms arranged in a cross shape, and three arms are functional while the fourth arm has a torque adjusting handle. Sockets can be interchangeably coupled to the three functional arms. Moreover, the arms are telescoping allowing changing the effective length of the arms. The two opposite functional arms can pivot for collapsing the wrench for storage.

Socket-based driving tool with retractable non-marring cover

A driving tool includes an elongate socket body, and a non-marring cover around the socket body. The socket body includes a socket compatible with lug nuts, and a driver adaptor behind the socket. The cover is supported on the socket body for axial extension and axial retraction ahead of the socket.

Socket structure

A socket structure includes a socket body, an O-ring, and a carbon-fiber tube. The socket body includes a driving section and an acting section coaxially connected to the driving section. The driving section has an outside diameter greater than an outside diameter of the acting section and a stepped portion is formed in outer circumference between the driving section and the acting section. The driving section and the acting section have end faces that are recessed inwardly to form a driving hole and an acting hole, respectively. The outer circumferential surface of the acting section is formed with a circumferential groove in which the O-ring is received. The carbon-fiber tube is fit over the outer circumferential surface of the acting section of the socket body and has an end in abutting engagement with the stepped portion and an internal circumferential surface in contact with the O-ring.

CONNECTING ELEMENT, IN PARTICULAR A BOLT OR A NUT, PREFERABLY FOR FASTENING A WHEEL, OR RIM, TO A HUB OF A VEHICLE
20170363129 · 2017-12-21 ·

A connecting element, preferably for fastening a wheel, or rim, to a hub of a vehicle, includes a body having a respective outer perimeter surface which extends along a respective imaginary profile, in particular an imaginary circular profile, there being formed, at the perimeter surface, respective elements for the engagement of corresponding elements or tool for screwing and/or unscrewing the connecting element, and screw thread elements for fastening, preferably to the vehicle hub. The engagement elements include a plurality of perpendicularly extending and circumferentially distributed engagement troughs which are recessed relative to the imaginary outer profile and each being separated from the adjacent trough by a respective outer perimeter transit zone. The outer transit zone has a width (r) which is less than the width (i) of the trough, and in particular, a width (r) which is less than half the width of the trough.

SCREWING TOOL FOR AN IMPACT WRENCH FOR SCREWING WHEEL NUTS ONTO AND OFF FROM A HUB BODY FOR SECURING A VEHICLE WHEEL, ESPECIALLY IN MOTORSPORT, AND AN IMPACT WRENCH

A screwing tool for an impact wrench for screwing wheel nuts onto and off from a hub body for securing a vehicle wheel, having a main body, which has an open side oriented toward the wheel nuts and which includes a hollow profile. The hollow profile has a tool contour, which is arranged on the open side and can be brought into engagement with a wheel nut contour. At least one peripheral control edge is remote from the open side for releasing a retention element. The control edge has a circular arc region with a constant control edge height h.sub.1 and a cam region with a control edge height h.sub.2 that decreases continuously and then increases again continuously. Height h.sub.1 is equal to h.sub.2 in the respective transition of the circular arc region and the cam region, such that the geometrical shape of an oval is reproduced in cross section.

A system, and a method of using a system, for controlled tool operation. The method includes providing a tool used in a force application such as a such torque application. The tool communicates with a controller which can communicate with the tool, and to a display in communication with the tool and the controller. The controller can be programmed with operational information about a tool operation. Information related to the operational information is displayed to a user during use. Service information including at least information about an amount of force applied during use is recorded and stored in the controller. Also disclosed is a computerized system for controlled tool operation which sends operational instructions to the tool before use and retrieves service information from the tool after use.

Device for removing or tightening lug nuts
11247314 · 2022-02-15 ·

A portable device for tightening or removing lug nuts includes a housing defining an interior reservoir, a first conduit, and a second conduit. The first conduit is in fluid communication with the interior reservoir and the second conduit is in fluid communication with the first conduit. A receiving chamber is provided within the housing and is also in fluid communication with the second housing. A hand pump associated with the device is operable to draw fluid within the reservoir into the first conduit, and also to force the fluid in the first conduit through the second conduit and into the receiving chamber. A first gear is rotatably disposed within the housing. A plurality of second gears are rotatably disposed within the housing. The plurality of second gears engage the first gear so that rotation of the first gear causes a corresponding rotation of the plurality of second gears. Each of the plurality of second gears is configured to engage a lug nut associated within the wheel of a vehicle.
