Tightening device and tightening method
A tightening device and a tightening method are able to check that a fastening member has been fastened to a desired set torque or greater after being tightened, without loosening the fastening member. The tightening device executes a first tightening process of adjusting the output of a motor after measured torque that is measured by a torque detector has reached a preset first control start torque, such that the measured torque reaches a preset first set torque in a phased manner through repeated increases and decreases in torque, and blocking power supply to the motor when the measured torque reaches the first set torque, and then executes a second tightening process of driving the motor at an initial output that is less than in the first tightening process, adjusting the output of the motor after the measured torque that is measured by the torque detector has reached a preset second control start torque, such that the measured torque reaches a preset second set torque in a phased manner through repeated increases and decreases in torque, and blocking power supply to the motor when the measured torque reaches the second set torque.
Tool apparatus system and method of use
A system, and a method of using a system, for controlled tool operation. The method includes providing a tool used in a force application such as a such torque application. The tool communicates with a controller which can communicate with the tool, and to a display in communication with the tool and the controller. The controller can be programmed with operational information about a tool operation. Information related to the operational information is displayed to a user during use. Service information including at least information about an amount of force applied during use is recorded and stored in the controller. Also disclosed is a computerized system for controlled tool operation which sends operational instructions to the tool before use and retrieves service information from the tool after use.
Impact tool
An impact tool comprises: a casing; a rotating hammer arranged in the casing and rotatable by a motor; a rotating interface element arranged in the casing and rotatable by the hammer by a series of impacts; an output shaft rotating around a rotation axis, the output shaft having a proximal end fixed to the interface element and a distal end protruding from the casing, the distal end ending with a connecting element for removable connection to an outer mechanical adaptor; a unit of measurement arranged for obtaining torque of the output shaft by a torque sensor mounted to the output shaft, the unit of measurement comprising a fixed measuring assembly mounted integrally to the casing and a rotating measuring assembly mounted so as to rotate integrally with the rotating output shaft; the fixed measuring assembly being configured to generate a supply signal and transmit the supply signal to the rotating measuring assembly to supply electrically the rotating measuring assembly; the rotating measuring assembly being configured to detect a measuring signal indicating the torque and condition the measuring signal in order to be able to send the measuring signal to the fixed measuring assembly; in which the fixed measuring assembly and the rotating measuring assembly comprise electronic devices that execute a two-directional communication in contactless mode by magnetic coupling between the fixed measuring assembly and the rotating measuring assembly, the communication being configured to supply magnetically the torque sensor and permit transmission of the measuring signal conditioned by the rotating measuring assembly to the fixed measuring assembly.
System and method for measuring torque and angle
The present invention relates to torque application tools, such as an electronic torque screwdriver, with a multiple axis gyroscope (such as a 3-axis gyroscope or other type of gyroscope) and torque sensor that allows for simultaneous or sequential measurement of torque and angle around the axis of the tool. Targets for torque and angle measurements may be used to create algorithms to detect breakaway torque, residual torque, or to perform error proofing to ensure unique fasteners are tightened.
Spare Tire Removal Tool
This present invention relates to a spare tire removal tool for quickly and easily releasing a spare tire from the underside of a frame or chassis of a vehicle, such as a SUV, RV, truck or the like. The spare tire removal tool is comprised of two elongated poles that are removably connected to one another, and are rotated by an automatic cordless electric tool to control the turning speed and rotation of the poles for lowering a spare tire or raising a flat or otherwise damaged tire into the spare tire mount. The electric tool is preferably battery powered.
SOCKET STRUCTURE
A socket structure includes a socket body, an O-ring, and a carbon-fiber tube. The socket body includes a driving section and an acting section coaxially connected to the driving section. The driving section has an outside diameter greater than an outside diameter of the acting section and a stepped portion is formed in outer circumference between the driving section and the acting section. The driving section and the acting section have end faces that are recessed inwardly to form a driving hole and an acting hole, respectively. The outer circumferential surface of the acting section is formed with a circumferential groove in which the O-ring is received. The carbon-fiber tube is fit over the outer circumferential surface of the acting section of the socket body and has an end in abutting engagement with the stepped portion and an internal circumferential surface in contact with the O-ring.
Portable roadside assistant systems
A portable roadside assistant device; a system which includes a tool designed to ease the process of removing and changing a tire for any user. The present invention is superior to other systems in that it effectively automatically loosens and tightens lug nuts to assist users in changing a flat tire.
VEHICLE SERVICING APPARATUS AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
Apparatus for use in robotic servicing of a vehicle has a frame defining a bay for receiving a laterally positioned vehicle and a hallway longitudinally adjacent the bay, the hallway accommodating a mobile robotic servicing sub-system. A wheeled chassis underlies and supports the frame with the top of the chassis providing a floor of the bay and the hallway. A deck is located above the bay and an automated robotic system is used to pick the component from the deck, move a component along the frame, and to lower the component into the hallway for release to and pickup by the mobile robotic servicing sub-system to enable servicing with the component of the vehicle by the mobile robotic servicing sub-system.
Torque Stick and Wrench
A torque stick and torque wrench combination is provided that allows attachment of the torque stick to an impact tool to quickly fasten a nut or lug to an approximate desired torque. The operator can attach a torque wrench to an aperture of the torque stick to complete the fastening operation and achieve higher accuracy on the applied torque than a torque stick alone. In this way, the combination torque stick and torque wrench enable a greater degree of accuracy on the fastener's torque. The operator can also complete the fastening process without disassembling the connection of the torque stick from the lug.
