Bicycle wheel with unitary side construction
A wheel having a longitudinal plane normal to an axis of rotation. The wheel has a rim with side surfaces on opposite sides of the longitudinal plane. A hub is concentrically disposed relative to the rim. Two unitary side elements are disposed on opposite sides of the longitudinal plane and are coupled to the rim and to end portions of the hub. Each of the unitary side elements has an annular sidewall, a flange portion, and a plurality of spokes that do not cross the longitudinal plane and that integrally interconnect the annular sidewall and the flange portion. An end portion of each spoke of the one side element is tied to the end portion of an aligned spoke of the other side element adjacent to the sidewall to restrict the tied end portions from moving away from each other.
Method for producing a wheel rim with a rim base of fiber composite material
The invention relates to a method for producing a wheel rim having a rim base of a fiber composite material. The problem to be solved by the invention is that of improving the production of the wheel rim, and especially to ensure a reliably functioning wheel structure which can be achieved with little financial and technical outlay. The problem is solved in that during the production of the rim base (2) a connection element (3, 13, 21, 31, 42, 51) is joined to the rim base (2), said connection element (3, 13, 21, 31, 42, 51) being designed and arranged in such a way that a wheel disc (4, 14, 22, 36, 45) can be connected to said connection element (3, 13, 21, 31, 42, 51).
DISC BRAKE DEVICE AND BICYCLE
A disc brake device and a bicycle. The disc brake device comprises a bicycle frame, a mounting shaft, a wheel, and a brake disc; fork pieces is fixedly connected to a frame body; the mounting shaft is fixedly connected to the fork pieces; a hub is movably connected to the mounting shaft; spokes are provided between the hub and a rim; the brake disc is fixedly connected to the hub; the brake disc and the wheel can rotate together with respect to the mounting shaft; the brake disc has an inner surface disposed facing the spokes and an outer surface disposed facing a fork piece; a first distance, in the axial direction of the mounting shaft, between the edge of the inner surface of the brake disc farthest from the hub in the radial direction of the mounting shaft and each spoke is less than or equal to 10 mm.
Vehicle wheel
The invention is directed to a vehicle wheel (1) comprising a fiber reinforced polymer rim (2) for receiving a tire at its radially outer side (3). The rim (2) comprises an outer rim flange (4), an outer rim seat (5), a frusto-conical plane (6) inclined at an angle a relative to the rotational axis (7) of the wheel of between 1 and 90 Q, an inner rim seat (8) and an inner rim flange (9). A wheel hub (10) is connected to the rim (2) via a metal support element (11). The support element (11) is connected with the rim (2) through at least one connecting element (12) which extends through a radially elongated opening (13) in the frusto conical plane (6) of the rim (2) and is received in the support element (11). The support element (11) may alternatively be connected with the rim (2) through at least three connecting elements (12) which extend through radially elongated openings (13) in the support element (11).
LOAD WHEEL ASSEMBLIES WITH IMPROVED STATIC DISSIPATIVE AND CONDUCTIVE PERFORMANCE
This invention relates generally to wheel assemblies for a material handling vehicle, such as forklifts and pallet trucks, and the components therein. In one preferred embodiment, the wheel assemblies include conductive brush spacer assembly with tunable properties (conductivity/resistance, as well as mechanical properties) to adapt the brush spacer assembly. Embodiments of the present application may be used in various wheel assemblies, as discussed herein.
