WHEEL SHIELD APPARATUS
Disclosed herein is a wheel shield apparatus that includes a pair of elongated parallel tube members in perpendicular engagement with a pair of short parallel tube members, at least one removable side of the wheel shield apparatus is operable to be temporarily opened or removed such that the wheel shield apparatus may be placed around a wheel of a neurosurgical microscope or some other type of heavy wheeled machinery and the removable side may be placed in a closed position such that the wheel shield surrounds the wheel. Each of the pair of elongated parallel tube members and/or each of the pair of short parallel tube members comprises a cavity configured to receive a ballast material to provide sufficient weight to ensure that the wheel shield apparatus contacts the floor such that cables along the floor are pushed out of the way by the wheel shield apparatus and prevented from being run over while the machinery is being transported.
CONTROL OF THE DISPENSING OF AN ADHESION-INCREASING AGENT FOR A RAIL VEHICLE
A device and method control dispensing of adhesion-increasing agent of a rail vehicle. At least one wheel speed sensor and/or wheel acceleration sensor and/or wheel torque sensor measures the wheel speed or wheel rotational speed and/or the wheel acceleration of a particular wheel and/or the wheel torque acting on the wheel. A measuring unit determines the vehicle speed and/or the acceleration in the vehicle longitudinal direction of the entire rail vehicle. A calculation unit ascertains the ratio of the wheel speed or wheel rotational speed of the wheel and the speed of the rail vehicle and/or the ratio of the wheel acceleration and the acceleration in the longitudinal direction of the rail vehicle and/or the ratio between the target torque and the actual torque acting on the wheel; a change in ratio is used to control dispensing of the adhesion-increasing agent.
Nipple for spoked wheels, particularly for motorcycles
A nipple for spoked wheels includes a head and a rod which are coaxial and through which a through-hole extends, a manoeuvring key in the head and an insert of plastics material which is inserted in the hole in order to engage in a screwing manner with friction with a threaded end of a spoke. The hole comprises a threaded portion which extends in the rod and a portion with an increased diameter which constitutes the seat for receiving the insert, the insert being formed with a tubular sleeve inserted in the seat at the side of the head and being blocked there by means of interference or adhesive bonding.
AXLE MOUNTED TIRE SHRAPNEL CONTAINMENT SHIELD
Apparatus and associated methods relate to a tire containment device securely mounted to an axle of a vehicle to contain shrapnel caused by a tire blowout. In an illustrative example, the tire containment device may include an axle bracket and a tire fender. The axle bracket, for example, may be mounted to an axle of the vehicle. The tire fender may, for example, have a substantially continuous containment cavity. In some examples, when the tire fender is coupled to a vehicle axle by the axle bracket, the containment cavity may extend over at least a top and an exterior face of an upper third of a diameter of a tire. For example, the containment cavity may substantially intercept shrapnel from failure of the tire before it reaches a body of the vehicle. Various embodiments may advantageously reduce damage to a body of the vehicle during a tire blowout.
Tether Restraint for Truck Drive Wheels
A wheel restraint system especially useful for restraining break-away wheels on drive axles and also to trailer axles, having a tether, a cable end component, a thrust bearing, and a wheel retention subassembly which fits over a wheel hub, wherein the tether is secured to the vehicle, such as secured to the inside wall of a hollow axle or through a hollow axle to an opposing similar wheel restraint system.
LIFT WHEEL LOCK FOR INSTALLING AND/OR REMOVING VAPORIZER VESSELS
A delivery system includes a handheld electric lift configured to lift at least one vaporizer vessel, and a cabinet configured to hold the at least one vaporizer vessel. The lift includes an elongated mast, an effector attached to the mast, a handler configured to move the lift, and at least one caster. The effector is controlled by an electric power source to move along the mast. Each of the at least one caster includes a stopper and a wheel. The stopper is elongated and is disposed above the wheel. The stopper is configured to engage with the wheel to prevent the wheel from swiveling when the stopper is pushed down. The stopper is further configured to disengage with the wheel to allow the wheel to swivel when the stopper is released. The cabinet includes at least one channel configured to accommodate the at least one caster.
NOTIFICATION DEVICE, NOTIFICATION METHOD AND PROGRAM
A notification apparatus comprises a receiving part that receives a designation of a reference position; a specifying part that specifies a current wheel nut at the same position as a reference wheel nut, which is one of a plurality of wheel nuts included in a reference image that is a captured image acquired by the acquiring part in the past, from the captured image acquired by the acquiring part, with respect to the reference position; and a detecting part that detects looseness of the current wheel nut by detecting that the current wheel nut specified by the specifying part has rotated with respect to the reference wheel nut included in the reference image.
Aircraft landing gear assembly
An aircraft landing gear bogie beam including first and second ends and a mounting bearing for connection to an aircraft landing gear main strut between the ends. Each end has a respective axle, and each axle defines a wheel mounting portion on each side of the bogie beam. The bogie beam is arranged to enable the first and second axles to each pivot relative to the bearing about a respective longitudinal axis of the bogie beam by an amount that is sufficient to place a wheel rim of a wheel assembly in contact with the ground in the event of a tyre of the wheel assembly deflating.
Aircraft recovery dolly
A wheel dolly for lifting and transporting a flat tire attached to an aircraft is comprised of a frame assembly having first and second laterally spaced frame members and a telescopic frame structure interposed between the laterally spaced frame members. A pair of tire lifting assemblies are fixedly coupled the frame assembly. A pair of actuators is coupled between the tire lifting assemblies to force the tire lifting assemblies toward one another in order to raise a flat tire on an aircraft. A plurality of wheels is coupled to the frame assembly to allow the frame assembly to roll in any direction.
