The two wheels may be flipped, wherein when the two wheel plates are folded towards each other, the portable appliance with reduced folded size facilitates the user to pack or carry.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A MOTOR VEHICLE RIM FROM ALUMINIUM OR AN ALUMINIUM ALLOY FOR A WHEEL OF A MOTOR VEHICLE, AND CORRESPONDING MOTOR VEHICLE RIM
A method for producing an automobile rim made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy for a wheel of an automobile, the automobile rim having a rim bed bounded on opposite sides by an outer flange and an inner flange, a hub with a center recess and a bolt circle, as well as a rim center connecting the rim bed and the hub to one another, the rim center being designed with a plurality of spokes spaced apart in the circumferential direction with respect to the longitudinal center axis of the automobile rim. The automobile rim is produced in one piece and continuously in a casting mold by die casting of a casting material, wherein the automobile rim has, at least in some areas, a low wall thickness not exceeding 15 mm.
Scooter Wheel
A scooter wheel assembly consists of a rim which holds a tire and said rim having as its axial hole two tapers meeting at its mid-plane. The rim accepts two hub halves of which each is a frustum, such that clamping forces across the opposed conical surfaces of the pair of frusta firmly enforce concentricity between the axle and the rim and its tire. The rim and tire are connected to the axle exclusively by frictional coupling. Advantageously for changing a rim or tire, the hub parts can be quickly disassembled with common tools.
Vehicle wheels, methods of making vehicle wheels, and dual wheel assemblies
Vehicle wheels, methods of making vehicle wheels, and dual wheel assemblies are provided. The vehicle wheel includes a generally cylindrical first region and a second region extending radially inwardly from the first region. The second region includes a first surface, a second surface, an opening, and a hub surface. A distance from the first surface to the second surface defines a thickness. The opening is configured to receive at least a portion of a hub of the vehicle axle. The hub surface is adjacent to and surrounds the opening and extends from the first surface to the second surface. The hub surface includes a generally flat portion and a relief portion adjacent to at least one of the first surface and the second surface. The relief portion surrounds the opening and extends along the hub surface for a distance of at least 25% of the thickness.
Wheel disc manufacturing method and wheel disc
A manufacturing method for a wheel disc, includes forming a flange portion, wherein the flange portion is formed such that an inner mold and an outer mold having a cylindrical inner surface with a first inside radius larger than the first outside radius and placed above the inner mold coaxially to the inner mold are brought close relative to each other in an axial direction by one stroke so that the outer edge of the disc material is bent downward, and the cylindrical inner surface of the outer mold is provided with recessed portions hollowed outwardly in a wheel radial direction, the recessed portions being formed in ranges corresponding to the window portions in the wheel circumferential direction and in a range from a middle position to a bottom end in the wheel axial direction.
Disc Wheel with Internal Bracing
A bicycle disc wheel comprises a first disc panel and a second disc panel. The first disc panel has a first side outer surface and a first side inner surface and the second disc panel has a second side outer surface and a second side inner surface. The first side outer surface radially extends from a first disc panel outer perimeter to a center opening and the second side outer surface radially extends from a second disc panel outer perimeter to the center opening. The second side inner surface faces the first side inner surface. A brace is coupled to the first side inner surface and the second side inner surface that provide radial and axial structural support to the disc panels.
Wheel and rim with weight reduction inner flange
A wheel and a rim with a weight reduction inner flange are provided. The rim includes an inner flange, a middle portion and an outer flange which are all annular and connected end to end to form an annular rim, in which the inner flange or the outer flange includes multiple groups of edge weight reduction sockets arranged side by side on one side of the inner cavity of a hub, and multiple groups of inner weight reduction sockets arranged side by side are provided inside the edge weight reduction sockets on the rim; a group of edge weight reduction sockets includes a first edge weight reduction socket and a second edge weight reduction socket at the edge of the inner flange or the outer flange, and the first edge weight reduction socket is in the shape of a right-angled triangle having round angles.
VEHICLE WHEEL DISC, VEHICLE WHEEL INCLUDING SUCH A WHEEL DISC AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SUCH A WHEEL DISC AND VEHICLE WHEEL
A wheel disc including a hub located centrally within the wheel disc and defining a wheel axis. The hub has a plurality of bolt holes formed therein. The wheel disc further including an outer circumferential edge and a transition portion radially extending between the hub and the outer circumferential edge. The transition portion has a plurality of vent holes formed therein. The transition portion has a front surface and a rear surface defining a thickness therebetween such that the thickness of the transition portion varies in the radial direction.
VEHICLE WHEEL DISC, VEHICLE WHEEL INCLUDING SUCH A WHEEL DISC AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SUCH A WHEEL DISC AND VEHICLE WHEEL
A wheel disc includes a hub located centrally within the wheel disc and defining a wheel axis. The wheel disc further includes an outer circumferential edge and a transition portion radially extending between the hub and the outer circumferential edge.
