Wheel for a support structure
A wheel assembly for a tire includes a circular hub member for securing to a rotatable axle of a vehicle, a first rim piece for engaging the hub member, a second rim piece for engaging the first rim piece, and a plurality of cylindrical sleeves for engaging both the first rim piece and the second rim piece. The first rim piece has cylindrical first shafts each engaging a first end of one of the sleeves. The second rim piece has cylindrical second shafts each engaging a second opposite end of one of the sleeves. An outer cylindrical surface of each sleeve engages a separate and distinct part the tire.
Wheel comprising a wheel rim and a wheel disc
The invention relates to a wheel, especially for motor vehicles, comprising a wheel rim and a wheel disc, the wheel rim having a rim base made of fiber composite material. The invention is characterized in that the wheel disc (3, 11, 20, 29, 40) can be indirectly connected to the wheel rim (1), in particular the rim base (2), by means of a connecting element (5, 14, 22, 31, 35, 42) which is designed and associated with the rim base (2) in such a way that the connected wheel disc (3, 11, 20, 29, 40) is not in contact with the rim base (2).
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A LIGHT-ALLOY HYBRID WHEEL INCLUDING A FRONT FLANGE AND A RIM
A process for manufacturing a light-alloy hybrid wheel, implements the following separate operation phases: making a flange with an internal profile capable of constituting a tire bead seat; making a rim with, on one side, an outer profile capable of constituting a tire bead seat and, on the other side, a circular flank for assembly with a part of the flange; and assembling the flange with the rim, at the seat of said flange and the circular flank of the rim. The rim is made according to the following consecutive operations: an operation of manufacturing a circular flank; then an operation of expanding said circular flank to the size of the final rim in a single step; then an operation of cold or hot flospinning of said circular flank so as to obtain the rim in the final shape and profile thereof, comprising a shoulder only on the side that will not be welded to the flange.
WHEEL FOR A VEHICLE
The invention is directed to a wheel comprising a rim (2) and a wheel center (3) interconnected to the rim (2). The rim (2) comprises at least one first contact area (12) and the wheel center (3) comprises at least one second contact area (13) which in a mounted state are aligned with respect to each other. According to the invention an intermediate layer (22) is arranged between the at least one first contact area (12) and the at least one second contact area (13) preventing at least partially direct contact between the at least one first contact area (12) and the at least one second contact area (13).
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A ONE-PIECE WHEEL BY FORGING AND A ONE-PIECE WHEEL MANUFACTURED THEREBY
A method for manufacturing a one-piece wheel by forging includes: producing an integral forging comprising: a disc portion, a rim portion, and an annular protrusion protruding from one side of the disc portion in a forging method; producing an outer bend by bending the annular protrusion through a flow-forming process; and forming a hollow portion by welding one end of the outer bend to one side of the rim portion. The method manufactures the one-piece wheel having stronger shear strength and stiffness and better fatigue life even while reducing the noise using the forging method.
METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF A VEHICLE WHEEL WITH A CONNECTION BETWEEN A WHEEL RIM AND A WHEEL DISC
Disclosed is a method for producing a vehicle wheel with a connection between a wheel rim and a wheel disc in which the wheel disc is connected to the wheel rim by means of at least one connecting element that is guided through a through-hole of the rim base and is joined in the wheel disc. After the joining of the connecting element in the wheel disc a portion of the head of the connecting element projects beyond the rim base on the outer side of the rim. Subsequently the head of the connecting element is at least partially removed.
WHEEL SPIDER WITH ASSEMBLED SPOKE ELEMENTS AND CONNECTION OF WHEEL SPIDER TO RIM WELL
A wheel includes a rim having a rim well and rim flanges, a hub, and at least three spoke elements. Each spoke element forms at least one spoke between the hub and the rim. The spoke elements are fastened to an inside of the rim in a form-closed manner or a form-closed and bonded manner. In the hub region, the spoke elements are supported on each other in a circumferential direction at abutting surfaces designed therefor. A method for producing the wheel is provided.
HYBRID COMPOSITE WHEEL
A road wheel for a vehicle includes a face portion and a rim portion. The face portion is formed from a metallic alloy and defines a central portion plurality of spokes extending between the central portion and a proximal bead element. The rim portion is formed from a composite material and defines an annular wall circumscribing a wheel axis extending to a distal bead element from said face portion. The proximal bead element is defined by the metallic alloy and the distal bead element is defined by the composite. The face portion and the rim portion are interconnected in interlocking engagement.
Assembled wheel
An assembled wheel includes a spoke, a T nut, a screw, a fixing ring, a rim, a brake drum. In use, the T nut is installed in the outermost T groove of the spoke; a second boss on a connecting ring fits with the groove on the back of the spoke; the spoke, the connecting ring and the fixing ring are connected together by the first screw; grooves on the outer side of the brake drum fit with a first boss in the right circumferential direction of the fixing ring; and the second screw axially fixes the brake drum in the fixing ring through a spacer.
