AIRCRAFT WHEEL HAVING DRIVING LUGS
An aircraft wheel includes a rim that is secured to a central hub defining an axis of rotation of the wheel. The wheel includes one or more driving pins that extend from the hub, projecting in a direction substantially parallel to the axis of rotation of the wheel so as to cooperate with a driving member for driving the wheel in rotation. The driving pin is distinct from bolts assembling together parts of the wheel.
Annular support structure for track vehicle
An annular support structure for a track vehicle is disclosed herein. The annular support structure includes a first piece and a second piece. The first piece includes a first hub portion, a first web extending radially outward from the first hub portion, and a first outer body extending radially outward from the first web. The second piece includes a second hub portion, a second web extending radially outward from the second hub portion, and a second outer body extending radially outward from the second web. The first piece and the second piece joined together at an inner joint located proximate to the first hub portion and the second hub portion and the first piece and the second piece adjacent to each other at an outer joint located proximate to the first outer body and the second outer body.
Aerodynamically efficient spoke design for a vehicle wheel
A wheel including an inner hub portion configured to receive a vehicle axle therethrough and defining an axis of rotation at a center thereof. A plurality of wheel spoke portions extend generally between the inner hub portion and an outer rim portion. A clad spoke overlies each of the wheel spoke portions. Each of the clad spokes includes an outboard surface overlying an outboard side of the wheel spoke portion, a leading side surface overlying a leading side surface of the wheel spoke portion, and a trailing side surface overlying a trailing side surface of the wheel spoke portion. At least a segment of one of the leading side and trailing side surfaces of the clad spoke has a non-planar shape. A foam adhesive is disposed between the wheel spoke and the clad spoke and may overly the inboard surface of each of the wheel spokes.
ROBOT CLEANER AND WHEEL ASSEMBLY
A robot cleaner includes: a body having a suction port; a plurality of wheels for movement of the body; and a plurality of driving devices configured to drive the plurality of wheels, respectively, wherein each of the plurality of wheels includes an inner wheel and an outer wheel having a thickness that is larger than a thickness of the inner wheel, and each of the inner wheel and the outer wheel includes a plurality of slits.
Scooter Wheel
A scooter wheel assembly consists of a rim which holds a tire and said rim having as its axial hole two tapers meeting at its mid-plane. The rim accepts two hub halves of which each is a frustum, such that clamping forces across the opposed conical surfaces of the pair of frusta firmly enforce concentricity between the axle and the rim and its tire. The rim and tire are connected to the axle exclusively by frictional coupling. Advantageously for changing a rim or tire, the hub parts can be quickly disassembled with common tools.
Bicycle wheel with unitary side construction
A wheel having a longitudinal plane normal to an axis of rotation. The wheel has a rim with side surfaces on opposite sides of the longitudinal plane. A hub is concentrically disposed relative to the rim. Two unitary side elements are disposed on opposite sides of the longitudinal plane and are coupled to the rim and to end portions of the hub. Each of the unitary side elements has an annular sidewall, a flange portion, and a plurality of spokes that do not cross the longitudinal plane and that integrally interconnect the annular sidewall and the flange portion. An end portion of each spoke of the one side element is tied to the end portion of an aligned spoke of the other side element adjacent to the sidewall to restrict the tied end portions from moving away from each other.
HYBRID WHEEL
A hybrid wheel including a functional rim, a center disc, and a wheel face insert, wherein the wheel rim and the center disc are made of a specified material, and wherein the wheel face insert is made of a dissimilar material. The wheel face insert can be secured to the center disc by at least one of screws, pins, rivets, or structural adhesive, and/or the wheel face insert can be secured to the functional rim by at least one of screws, pins, rivets, or structural adhesive.
WHEEL, DRIVE WHEEL, AND WHEELCHAIR
Provided is a wheel (6a) in which a disk (62) includes a ring-shaped rim (60) on which a tire (6b) is fitted, and a disk (62) having a flat circular shape and disposed on an inner circumference of the rim (60). The disk (62) includes a first rib (62a) and a second rib (62b) which extend in a radial direction of the disk (62). A width of each of the first rib (62a) and the second rib (62b) in a circumferential direction of the disk (62) increases toward an outer circumferential side of the disk (62).
Method for providing wheels for motor vehicles, and associated wheels
A method for providing motor vehicle wheels made of composite material based on carbon fiber includes the steps of dividing each wheel into a plurality of portions having small dimensions; providing a a first portion with the terminal edges designed to mate with corresponding edges of a respective second portion; mating the portions, arranging them subsequently within a respective mold whose shape and dimensions are conjugate with respect to those of the wheel to be manufactured; and bringing the mold and its contents to a predefined temperature. The method further includes injecting into the mold a resin in the liquid state, the resin being injected at high pressure and high temperature, forming the matrix of the composite that constitutes the wheel; maintaining the pressure and temperature of the mold within predefined ranges for a time interval that is required for the at least partial cross-linking of the resin; and extracting the wheel from the mold.
KIT FOR FORMING AN AGRICULTURAL TOOL FROM A WHEEL BODY OR TUBULAR SUPPORT
An agricultural tool includes a wheel body and a flexible tyre with a hollow chamber and an inner surface around this hollow chamber; a circular opening on the chamber; a pair of beads bordering this opening; and a spacer at least partially tubular with two axially opposite end faces. Over one portion corresponding to one of the beads, the inner surface extends frustoconically by widening radially outward of the flexible tyre, and one of the end faces of the spacer has an axially protruding surface. The spacer is placed across the opening of the tyre such that the protruding surface engages the inner surface in an area of the portion corresponding to the bead.
