SPINNER WHEEL ASSEMBLY FOR A LUGGAGE CASE
A spinner wheel assembly for a luggage case is provided. The wheel assembly may include a housing, a support strut rotatably coupled to the housing about a spinner axis, and a plurality of wheels each rotatably coupled to the support strut about a wheel axis. Each wheel may rotate in a plane positioned at an angle to at least one other wheel. Each wheel may be coupled to the support strut in a spaced relationship thereto.
Braking and locking system for caster wheels
A swiveling caster wheel system for use on rolling devices such as children's accessories, furniture or equipment, and including a locking system having a locking actuator that is fixed in position regardless of the swivel position of the caster wheel. The system allows a user to access and actuate the caster locking system from a consistent position of the rolling device regardless of the swivel position of the caster wheel, and allows the caster wheel to be covered without blocking access to the locking actuator.
RAIL WHEEL SET AND CAR
A rail wheel set for a car which can be moved on a rail of a rail system has a bearing housing with a radial suspension for connecting the rail wheel set to the car, and two running wheels which are rotatably mounted on the bearing housing. Each wheel has a respective rail rolling surface, the shape of which is adapted to the contour of a running surface of the rail, and a respective ground rolling surface. The wheels can roll independently of each other on the running surface of the rail or on the ground. The rail wheel set is secured to a chassis of a car for transporting objects on a rail system.
Driven caster wheel and assembly
A driven caster wheel assembly may include a wheel, an axle, a drive assembly, a drive shaft, and a bevel gear. The wheel may be mounted to the axle for rotation about a drive axis and steering about a substantially vertical steering axis. The drive shaft may extend along the steering axis from a first end to a second end, with the first end being connected to the axle and the second end being connected to the drive assembly such that the drive assembly controls rotation of the drive shaft about the steering axis. The bevel gear may connect the first end to the axle such that rotation of the drive shaft about the steering axis controls rotation of the wheel about the drive axis to drive the driven caster wheel assembly in a substantially horizontal direction. Various other assemblies and methods are also disclosed.
Caster Assembly with Low Friction Caster Wheel
A patient transport apparatus comprises a support structure comprising a base and a patient support surface for supporting a patient and a caster assembly coupled to the base. The caster assembly comprises a wheel assembly. The wheel assembly includes a first edge, a second edge, and a center disposed between the first edge and the second edge. Each of the edges have a lower coefficient of friction than the center. The caster assembly further includes a tilt assembly coupled to the wheel assembly. The tilt assembly is configured to allow the wheel assembly to tilt relative to a floor surface such that at least one of the first and second edges contact the floor surface.
Compact mechanic's creeper
A compact mechanic?s creeper comprising an elongate body comprising a back rest portion and a head rest portion, a pair of ground contacting wheels, one of each of the wheels on either side of the back rest portion, each of the wheels rotating about a respective fixed axis of rotation positioned substantially at a right angle to a length of the elongate body and a ground contacting swivel towards a top end of the elongate body. When a user lies supine on the creeper with his head on the head rest portion, an upper edge of the pair of wheels are positioned on either side and substantially at a level of the user?s hips. In a particular embodiment the respective fixed axes of rotation are at an angle to one another and meet at a point above a center of the back rest portion.
