VEHICLE RIGID AXLE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SAME
A vehicle rigid axle with an axle beam, at the ends of which axle journals or wheel carriers, respectively, are arranged, and with at least two trailing arms rigidly attached to the axle beam and with at least one air spring bellows assigned to the respective trailing arm. At least one component of an electric drive is placed in the hollow body, the drive shaft of which passes through the axle journal. To form at least one axle journal connection section extending between the two trailing arms, a trailing arm connected thereto and a receptacle for at least one component of an electric drive, two shell elements are formed from sheet metal and connected to one another, in particular welded, to form a hollow body surrounding the receiving space. At least one component of the electric drive is mounted in the receiving space.

Fabricated axle seat assembly
Axle seat assemblies and methods of manufacturing thereof, are provided for attachment to an axle body (15). The axle seat assembly may be comprised of a first piece (42) and a second piece (50). The first piece (42) may have a first wall, a second wall and a first axle seat piece engagement portion providing a first engagement surface. The second piece (50) may have a third wall and a second axle seat piece engagement portion providing a second engagement surface. The first wall and the second wall of the first piece are oriented to engage a front surface of an axle body and the third wall of the second piece is oriented to engage a rear surface (30) of an axle body. The first and second engagement surfaces of the respective first and second pieces of the axle seat assembly are positioned and configured to engage one another to removably and reversibly secure with the use of a fastener the first piece to the second piece to form an axle seat assembly.
Axle Suspension System Having an Axle Wrap and Method of Manufacture
An axle suspension system and a method of manufacture. The axle suspension system may have an axle, an axle wrap, and a weld seam. The axle wrap may have first and second wrap portions that mechanically interlock with each other and that have overlapping ends that may receive a weld seam.
Vehicle suspension arrangement
A vehicle suspension includes at least one anchor bar, at least one axle lift spring, an auxiliary drop-type axle which may be selectively lifted or lowered and a single, integrated support attaching the at least one axle lift spring and the at least one anchor bar to the auxiliary drop-type axle, wherein the single, integrated support provides the only attachment of the at least one axle lift spring and the at least one anchor bar to the auxiliary drop-type axle, and wherein the support includes an open area configured to allow the passage of a cardan.

Rear axle assembly designed to fit within rear axle envelope
A rear axle assembly designed to fit within a predefined rear axle envelope of a transportation vehicle. The rear axle assembly comprising first and second double wheel hubs each supporting a pair of tires, a rear axle offset with respect to a central axis of the rear axle assembly, a rear axle input for receiving a drive input, first and second portal housings which facilitate respectively connecting the rear axle with the first and the second double wheel hubs, a four-point control arm for connecting the rear axle to a chassis, first and second spring carriers each carrying smaller and larger diameter air bellows, first and second longitudinal arms which interconnected the rear axle to the chassis, and first and second shock absorbers each located generally at or adjacent to the central axis and radially between the first double wheel hub and the first spring carrier.
Suspension system
A suspension system having a knuckle that rotatably supports a wheel end assembly. The knuckle may include a first platform that may have a toe link mount, a second platform that may have a stabilizer bar mount, a brake torque plate that may facilitate mounting of a brake subsystem, or combinations thereof.
