Adjustable axle assembly for a vehicle
An axle assembly for a vehicle. A movable housing is movably positioned within a closed channel defined by a central housing. The movable housing moves the axle assembly between a retracted configuration and an extended configuration. A mounting assembly may be coupled to and spaced from the movable housing and slidably positioned adjacent the central housing. A steering actuator is coupled to a steering arm and the mounting assembly such that the steering actuator moves as a unit. A track assist bracket may be fixedly coupled to the central housing and define a gap sized to slidably receive a mounting plate of the mounting assembly. A bushing may be disposed on each wall of a telescoping portion of the movable housing. A bellows may be provided to enclose exposed portions of the bushings in the extended configuration. Methods of adjusting the track of the axle assembly are also disclosed.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ADJUSTING WHEEL SPACING OF AN AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENT
A wheel adjustment system for an agricultural implement includes a controller having a processor and a memory. The processor is configured to receive a first signal indicative of a ground speed of the agricultural implement, receive a second signal indicative of a desired position of a wheel of the agricultural implement, receive a third signal indicative of a current position of the wheel of the agricultural implement, and output a control signal to adjust a position of the wheel of the agricultural implement based on the first signal, the second signal, and the third signal, wherein a rate of adjustment of the position of the wheel varies based on the first signal.
Agricultural harvester axle
An agricultural harvester includes a chassis, an axle assembly carrying the chassis, a plurality of hub assemblies including a first hub assembly and a second hub assembly, the hub assemblies coupled to a corresponding end of the axle assembly, and a plurality of ground engaging devices each being coupled to a corresponding hub assemblies. The ground engaging devices support the axle assembly and the chassis. The axle assembly includes an extendable/retractable axle for altering a distance between the ground engaging devices that are coupled to the hub assemblies, and a connecting rod extending/retracting from a central portion of the axle assembly, the connecting rod also coupled to a portion of the first hub assembly. The connecting rod is generally vertically displaced from the extendable/retractable axle.
ELECTRIC VEHICLE, AUTOMATIC DRIVING METHOD AND DEVICE, AUTOMATIC FREIGHTING METHOD AND SYSTEM
An electric vehicle, an automatic driving method and equipment, and an automatic freight transportation method and system, the electric vehicle (1) comprising a plurality of sets of wheel assemblies (2) disposed at the lower surface of a chassis (10), wherein the plurality of sets of wheel assemblies (2) are independent of each other; each wheel assembly (2) comprises a wheel (21), a driving device (22) and a displacement device (23); the driving devices (22) drives the wheels (21) to rotate, and the displacement devices (23) at least drives the wheels (21) to move along the vehicle body width direction (X) of the electric vehicle (1). Each set of wheel assemblies (2) of the electric vehicle (1) has an independent power system, and the wheels (21) of each of the wheel assemblies (2) are independently controlled by means of the driving devices (22) and the displacement devices (23), so that when used to carry people, the electric vehicle (1) may meet the driving requirements of being highly flexible, stable, safe and comfortable; and when used for loading goods, the electric vehicle (1) may meet the cargo transportation requirements of being fully automated, highly efficient, highly accurate, low cost and highly safe.
Mounting assembly for a steerable wheel with variable track width
A wheel-mounting assembly for a utility vehicle includes a chassis and a wheel support assembly mounted to respective outboard ends of first and second telescopic axle assemblies. The first and second telescopic axle assemblies are laterally spaced from one another and are each secured to the chassis. The first and second telescopic axle assemblies each include a respective actuator arranged to control extension and retraction thereof for steering and track-width control.
Mobile object
A mobile object is configured so as to be capable of moving front and rear bases 10,30 object to each other in order to make a wheel base provided between the front wheels 12 and the rear wheels 32 expandable and contractible. The front base 10 moves so as to be expand and contract the tread width between the front wheels 12 in association with the expansion and the contraction of the wheel base achieved. The seating part 41 is configured so as to turn forward in association with the relative movement of the front and rear bases 10,30 in order to contract the wheel base and the tread width. The seating part 41 is configured so as to turn backward in association with the relative movement of the front and rear bases 10,30 in order to expand the wheel base and the tread width.
Vehicle with track width learning mode
A vehicle includes an axle having driven wheels each with an associated wheel-speed sensor and the vehicle includes a yaw rate sensor. A controller is programmed to, responsive to a request to reprogram a track width of the driven axle, receive signals from the wheel speed sensors and the yaw rate sensor to learn a track width of the driven axle based on the signals.
CHANGEABLE WHEEL TRACK MECHANISM FOR TRACK WIDTH ADJUSTMENT
State of the art track width adjustment mechanism fail to support track width adjustment while vehicle is in motion. They also require manual intervention, which causes inconvenience. The disclosure herein generally relates to wheel track adjustment, and, more particularly, to a changeable wheel track mechanism for track width adjustment (referred to as TWA mechanism). The TWA mechanism includes a steer and drive unit, a plurality of links, and a sliding unit. The TWA mechanism allows movement of a wheel in inward and outward directions, causing the track width adjustment. The track width is achieved by changing the wheel position to be at a wider position, or a narrower position, or any intermediate position. The TWA mechanism may be associated with any vehicle for which the track width adjustment is to be achieved.
Chassis and Use Thereof
The invention relates to a chassis comprising a base (12) and four wheels (14) each being mounted on the base by way of a respective supporting device (16) and each being capable of being brought out of a transport position into an operating position of the chassis (10), and vice versa, wherein each supporting device comprises a support or carrier arm (18), which is arranged on the base via a proximal end (20) to be pivotable out of the transport position into the operating position of the chassis, and vice versa, and at a distal end (22) receives an axle journal (24) for rotation, a first control (30) for pivoting the support or carrier arm out of the transport position into the operating position of the chassis, and vice versa, the axle journal rotatably arranged at the distal end of the support or carrier arm, a stub axle (40), which is pivotably arranged on the axle journal and receives the wheel for rotation at a distal end (42) of the axle journal; and a second control (44) for pivoting the stub axle against the axle journal.
