Split wheel and hub assembly
A wheel and hub assembly. Such a wheel includes split adapters, split hubs and split wheels. The assembly is attached to any beach chair or other article of manufacture which has a rod or pipe in its structure. Also, the wheel can be adapted on variously sized pipes and enable a user to easily pull/roll a beach chair or other articles of manufacture on various surfaces including a sandy beach or lawn.
Wheel assembly including disk defining a mechanical stop and related methods
A wheel assembly to be coupled to a hub of a vehicle may include an inner rim to be coupled to the hub of the vehicle, and an outer rim surrounding the hub. The wheel assembly may also include gas springs operatively coupled between the inner rim and the outer rim to provide a gas suspension for relative movement between the inner rim and the outer rim. The wheel assembly may also include a disk coupled to the inner rim and defining a closeable gap with adjacent interior portions of the outer rim to define a mechanical stop to limit relative movement of the inner rim and outer rim.
Wheel assembly including tread assemblies and related methods
A wheel assembly to be coupled to a hub of a vehicle may include an inner rim to be coupled to the hub of the vehicle and an outer rim surrounding the inner rim. The wheel assembly may include gas springs operatively coupled between the inner rim and the outer rim and tread assemblies carried by the outer rim.
Wheel assembly including relative movement sensor and related methods
A wheel assembly may include an inner rim to be coupled to the hub of the vehicle, and an outer rim surrounding the inner rim. Gas springs may be operatively coupled between the inner rim and the outer rim and permitting relative movement therebetween. The wheel assembly may also include a sensor configured to sense the relative movement between the inner and outer rims.
Wheel component and method for producing a wheel component
This disclosure relates to a wheel component (1, 20) for a wheel of a vehicle, having a hub (2), which can be connected in a rotationally secure manner to a hub flange of the vehicle and which at least partially comprises a metal material, a rim (4, 21) for receiving a tire of the wheel, and spokes (7) which connect the hub (2) to the rim (4, 21). The wheel component includes at least one spoke (7) including a spoke portion (8, 24), which comprises an injection-molded thermoplastic material, and further including a spoke reinforcement element (9, 25) at least partially embedded into the spoke portion. The spoke reinforcement element at least partially comprises a fiber-reinforced plastic material.
WHEEL ARRANGEMENT FOR A RAIL VEHICLE
A rail vehicle, such as a light rail vehicle, can include a wheel unit and a support unit. The wheel unit can define an axis of rotation of the wheel unit. The support unit can be configured to be connected to a rail vehicle structure that defines a vehicle longitudinal direction, a vehicle transverse direction, and a vehicle height direction. The support unit can be configured to connect the wheel unit to the rail vehicle structure such that the wheel unit is rotatable about the axis of rotation. The support unit can also include a primary suspension unit configured to provide resilient support of the rail vehicle structure on the wheel unit at least in the vehicle height direction.
Wheel assembly including flexible inboard seal and related methods
A wheel assembly may include an inner rim to be coupled to the hub of the vehicle, and an outer rim surrounding the inner rim. The wheel assembly may also include gas springs operatively coupled between the inner rim and the outer rim and permitting relative movement therebetween. The wheel assembly may also include a rigid inboard cover ring coupled to an inboard side of the outer rim and extending radially inward toward the inner rim. A flexible inboard seal may be coupled between the rigid inboard cover ring and the inner rim.
Wheel assembly including lateral stops and related methods
A wheel assembly to be coupled to a hub of a vehicle may include an inner rim to be coupled to the hub of the vehicle and an outer rim surrounding the hub. The wheel assembly may also include gas springs operatively coupled between the inner rim and the outer rim to provide a gas suspension for relative movement between the inner rim and the outer rim. The wheel assembly may also include a disk coupled to the inner rim. The wheel assembly may also include inboard lateral stops carried by an inboard interior surface of the outer rim, and outboard lateral stops carried by an outboard interior surface of the outer rim so that the inboard lateral stops and the outboard lateral stops cooperate to limit relative lateral movement of the disk and the outer rim.
Caster assembly
A caster assembly includes a base body, a tubular member, a retaining member and two wheel units. The base body includes an inner surrounding surface, a through hole surrounded by the inner surrounding surface, and a positioning slot extending along a line tangent to the inner surrounding surface and communicating with the through hole. The tubular member is inserted into the through hole. The retaining member is inserted into the positioning slot to retain the tubular member within the through hole. The wheel units are respectively and rotatably sleeved on two lateral connection portions of the tubular member.
VIBRATION DAMPING AND SHOCK ISOLATION IN TRANSPORTATION TOTE
An apparatus may include an enclosure that includes a plurality of mounting features that are configured to receive information handling systems, a plurality of casters coupled to the enclosure, and first and second dampers. The first damper may have a first resonance frequency and be disposed such that, when the information handling systems are received in the enclosure, the first damper is coupled between the information handling systems and the plurality of casters. The second damper may have a second, different resonance frequency and be disposed such that, when the information handling systems are received in the enclosure, the second damper is coupled between the information handling systems and the plurality of casters.
