TYRE
A tyre includes a tread portion including a tread surface which is provided with grooves. At least one of the grooves includes a widening-width portion at least partially. The widening-width portion includes a first groove portion extending inwardly in a tyre radial direction from the tread surface, and a second groove portion located inwardly in the tyre radial direction of the first groove portion and having a groove width greater than that of the first groove portion.
Tire
A tire comprises a tread portion 2. The tread portion 2 is provided with at least one main groove 3 extending continuously in a tire circumferential direction. A first groove wall 10, which is one of groove walls of the main groove 3, is provided with at least one first recessed portion 11 recessed outwardly in a groove width direction from a corresponding one of groove edges 6 of the main groove on a ground contacting surface of the tread portion 2. In the first recessed portion 11, a recess amount from the corresponding one of the groove edges 6 gradually decreases toward both sides in the tire circumferential direction from a deepest portion 15 recessed most outwardly in the groove width direction.
Tire
A tire comprises a tread portion 2. The tread portion 2 includes a tread ground contacting surface (2s) and at least one main groove 3 recessed from the tread ground contacting surface (2s) and extending continuously in a tire circumferential direction. The main groove 3 has a first groove wall 11. The first groove wall is provided with a recessed portion 15 recessed outwardly in a groove width direction from a groove edge of the main groove 3 on the tread ground contacting surface. The recessed portion 15 is formed of groove wall rubber 8 having a complex elastic modulus larger than that of base rubber 7 forming a main portion of the tread ground contacting surface (2s).
Pneumatic vehicle tires
A pneumatic vehicle tire, in particular a commercial vehicle tire, includes a tread which has a profile and has at least one circumferential groove (1) which is encircling in the circumferential direction, is embodied to a profile depth (P.sub.T) and in the cross section, starting at the tread external face, is composed of three adjoining groove portions, one outer groove portion (2) that expands in a funnel-shaped manner toward the outside, one 1 mm to 3 mm wide contracted groove portion, and one inner groove portion (4) which lies radially inward, is expanded in relation to the contracted groove portion (3) and has the largest cross-sectional face of all portions, and which is delimited by two cover flanks (4a), lateral groove flanks (4′b, 4″b) that adjoin said cover flanks (4a), and a groove base (4c).
Pneumatic tire
A pneumatic tire includes rib-shaped land parts adjacent to each other with a circumferential groove therebetween, and raised-row-shaped projections projecting toward each other from both mutually opposed side wall surfaces of the adjacent rib-shaped land parts are provided to extend in the tread circumferential direction. As compared to a raised-row-shaped projection in an outermost-side circumferential groove located on a tire width direction outermost side, a raised-row-shaped projection in an inner adjacent circumferential groove located on tire width direction inner side of and adjacent to the outermost-side circumferential groove is formed at a shallower position near a tread surface between the tread surface and the groove bottom. As a result, it is possible to obtain suitable drainage properties according to the tire width direction positions of the circumferential grooves, while restraining an increase in rolling resistance, and to realize improved wet grip performance owing to an enlarged grounding area.
Tyre
A tyre includes a tread portion including a tread surface which is provided with grooves. At least one of the grooves includes a widening-width portion at least partially. The widening-width portion includes a first groove portion extending inwardly in a tyre radial direction from the tread surface, and a second groove portion located inwardly in the tyre radial direction of the first groove portion and having a groove width greater than that of the first groove portion.
Tire tread
A groove of tire thread having a plurality of first and second portions, each delimited by facing walls spaced apart by a maximum width measured at the tread surface and approaching one another such that, at a depth between 20 and 80% of the total depth they are spaced apart by a width less than the maximum width or facing walls spaced apart by a minimum width measured at the tread and diverge from one another such that, at a depth between 20% and 80% of the total depth of the groove, they are spaced apart from one another by a width greater than the width. A plurality of first and second portions of groove so as to form a continuous passage between all the portions of groove in order to allow liquid to flow in the groove regardless of the level of wear.
PNEUMATIC VEHICLE TIRE
A pneumatic vehicle tire for utility vehicles has a profiled tread having two circumferential ribs that are adjacent and are separated by a circumferential groove of depth H formed from radially inner and outer extension sections of height H.sub.1 and H.sub.2. The groove in the radially inner extension section is a channel of height H.sub.1 and breadth B.sub.1, and in the outer extension section is configured, along its circumferential extent, with an alternating sequence of first and second circumferential regions. The two flanks in the first regions are each configured, in the transition to the outer surface of the rib, with a chamfer of height H.sub.4 such that H.sub.4<H.sub.2, and are spaced by a distance B.sub.2 along their radial extent in the outer extension section from radially inward to radially outward as far as the chamfer.
Pneumatic tire
A pneumatic tire is provided with tread rubber that forms a contact patch; and a belt layer which is disposed toward the interior in a tire radial direction from the tread rubber. A shoulder lug portion is provided with a narrow groove that partitions the shoulder lug portion into a main body portion and into a sacrificial portion. A plurality of concavities are open toward both the contact patch at the main body portion and the groove side face, wherein innermost ends in the tire width direction of the respective concavities are disposed so as to be at the same location in the tire width direction as an outermost end in the tire width direction of the belt layer or are arranged toward the exterior in the tire width direction from the outermost end in the tire width direction of the belt layer.
UTILITY VEHICLE TYRES
The invention relates to a utility vehicle tyre having a tread with at least one circumferential channel (2, 2′, 2″) with a channel base (5) and channel walls (4, 4′), wherein base elevations (7, 7′, 7″) are formed on the channel base (5) in a manner distributed over the circumference and acting centrally as stone ejectors, with a height (h.sub.1, h.sub.3) of 25% to 60% of the profile height (T.sub.1) and a greater extent in the circumferential direction than in the axial direction, which base elevations (7, 7′, 7″) either contact the channel walls (4, 4′) or are at distances (a.sub.1) of up to 4.0 mm therefrom in the axial direction and are bounded in the radial direction by a top surface (8, 8′, 8″) having an encircling surface edge, wherein the channel walls (4, 4′) between the base elevations (7, 7′, 7″) have wall portions (4a, 4′a) which converge toward each other.
The top surface (8, 8′, 8″) of the base elevations (7, 7′, 7″) slopes downward uniformly toward the surface edge, wherein the channel walls (4, 4′) have, to the side of the base elevations (7, 7′, 7″), wall sections (4b, 4′b) which are convexly curved toward one another in a plan view, and wherein the surface edge of the top surface (8, 8′, 8″) follows the profile of the wall sections (4b, 4′b) which are convexly curved toward one another, such that the width of the base elevations (7, 7′, 7″) decreases toward those ends thereof which lie in the circumferential direction.
