A pneumatic tire comprises a sidewall portion provided in its radially outer region B with side protectors protruding axially outwardly from the outer surface Ba of the radially outer region B. The side protectors are arranged in the tire circumferential direction at intervals so that grooved portions are formed between the side protectors. The width W1 in the tire circumferential direction of the grooved portion is in a range of from 50% to 70% of the width W2 in the tire circumferential direction of the side protector when measured at the same radial position.

A non-pneumatic tire includes an annular inner ring, an annular outer ring, and a support structure extending from the annular inner ring to the annular outer ring. The support structure includes a plurality of spokes, webbing, cells, or other open-sided support structure. The tire includes a splash control band protruding from a side of the tire. The splash control band circumscribes a rotation axis of the tire and includes a surface facing the rotation axis. The surface can be continuous, angled, concave, and polygonal. The splash control band controls splashing of debris that accumulates within the support structure.

Tire

A tire that can attach and detach and that can prevent splash when running a wet road and cool discharging a heat is provided. The tire having a tread and a shoulder portion connected to the tread includes a protector portion provided in a circumferential direction at a side surface of the shoulder portion and in which a plurality of penetration portions are formed at a predetermined gap in a length direction; a plurality of protruding portions provided in the protector portion and formed at a predetermined gap in a length direction of the protector portion; and a plurality of installation grooves formed at a side surface of the shoulder portion such that the protruding portion attaches or detaches when the protruding portion enters or discharges.
