SELF-SUPPORTING TYRE FOR VEHICLE WHEELS
The present invention relates to self-supporting tyres for vehicle wheels having sidewall reinforcement inserts (113) with reduced rigidity. These tyres have a good mileage in flat running conditions, greater comfort and significantly reduced rolling resistance compared to known self-supporting tyres, with higher modulus sidewall reinforcement inserts.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
Provided is a pneumatic tire. A band-like sound absorptive member is fixed to the inner surface of a tread portion along the tire circumferential direction. An end portion in the tire width direction of the sound absorptive member is located on the outer side in the tire width direction with respect to a shoulder main groove located on the outermost side in the tire width direction. A width W1 of the sound absorptive member in the tire width direction and a tread development width TDW of the tread portion satisfy a relationship of 0.65≤(W1/TDW)≤0.90. The width W1 of the sound absorptive member and a belt width W2 of a first belt ply having the maximum width of a belt layer satisfy a relationship of 0.70≤(W1/W2)≤0.95.
SELF-SUPPORTING TIRE FOR VEHICLE WHEELS
The present invention relates to a self-supporting tire for vehicle wheels comprising a carcass structure comprising at least one carcass ply having a plurality of hybrid reinforcing cords (10) each comprising at least two strands (20) twisted to each other with a predetermined stranding pitch (P), wherein each of said at least two strands (20) comprises at least one monofilament textile thread (21) at least partially embedded in the filaments (22a) of at least one multifilament textile yarn (22) and a pair of sidewall reinforcement inserts (113), where at least one of said sidewall reinforcement inserts comprises a vulcanised elastomeric compound which has a dynamic shear modulus value G equal to or less than 1.25 MPa measured at 70° C., 10 Hz, 9% deformation according to the RPA method reported in the present description.
Pneumatic tire with removably mounted run-flat load support bodies
In a pneumatic tire including an annular tread portion extending in a tire circumferential direction, a pair of sidewall portions disposed on both sides of the tread portion, and a pair of bead portions disposed on an inner side of the sidewall portions in a tire radial direction, a load support body is disposed extending along the tire circumferential direction on an inner side of each of the sidewall portions, and the load support body is removably mounted to an inner surface of the sidewall portion via a mechanical engagement device.
Run-flat tire
A run-flat tire includes a belt reinforcing layer outward of a belt layer in a tire radial direction and reinforcing rubber in sidewall portions. Where a center region is a region of a tread portion in which a center land portion corresponding to a land portion included in land portions in a tread portion and located closest to a tire equatorial plane is positioned, the belt reinforcing layer includes a center reinforcing portion in which more pieces of the belt reinforcing layer are layered at a position of the center region than at positions other than the position of the center region, and in the belt reinforcing layer, a width Wc of the center reinforcing portion in a tire lateral direction with respect to a thickness Gr of the side reinforcing rubber at a tire maximum width position is within a range of 0.5 Gr≤Wc≤2.0 Gr.
Run-flat tire
At a run-flat tire, given that an average radius of curvature of a case line between an intersection point (0.1SHp) and an intersection point (0.2SHp) when viewed in a cross-section along a tire rotation axis is radius R1, and that an average radius of curvature of the case line between an intersection point (0.4SHp) and an intersection point (0.6SHp) when viewed in the cross-section along the tire rotation axis is radius R2, ratio R2/R1 is set to be greater than 0.3.
