RUN FLAT DEVICE
A run flat device intended to be mounted in a tyre around a wheel rim of a vehicle, the device comprising at least one assembly of two half-shells assembled axially, each half-shell being made of a composite material based on fibres embedded in a thermoplastic or thermosetting resin, each half-shell comprising a radially internal periphery a radially external periphery and a lateral wall connecting the radially internal periphery to the radially external periphery configured so as to form an internal recess within the at least one assembly and each half-shell further comprising a plurality of circumferentially distributed anti-compression ribs extending, within the internal recess, radially from the radially external periphery towards the radially internal periphery.
Runflat device and a method for fitting the same
A runflat device can include a double sided beadlock. The runflat device can be fitted to any size and type of wheel, regardless of a shape and depth of a wheel well. The runflat device can be fitted using standard tools, and may be tightened by manipulation of a valve assembly.
ANTI-PUNCTURE SHIELD FOR PNEUMATIC TIRES
The disclosure pertains to the tyre industry and relates more specifically to a system of lining levels for protecting tyres that prevents pointed objects from puncturing the air chamber, or in tubeless tyres prevents pointed objects from emptying the air from the tyre, being applicable to practically all types of tyre. According to the disclosure, when the puncturing object comes into contact with the tread, it is bent and deformed, preventing it from coming into contact with the air chamber or with the air in the case of tubeless tyres. The puncturing object penetrates the rubber of the tyre, but when it reaches the lining, instead of puncturing it or deforming it, the object is bent due to a hardness ratio between the lining and the tread combined with the movement of the wheel.
