Tire Comprising a Tread Optimized for Grip on Wet Grounds in the Worn Condition
A tire with improved performance in terms of grip on wet ground even when it is close to the legal wear limit. The tread comprises three layers of materials (M1, M2, M3), radially superposed: the layer (M1) is laid radially on the outside of the crown reinforcement. The layer (M2) is laid radially on the outside of the layer (M1), and the last layer (M3) intended to be in contact with the ground is laid radially on the outside of the layer (M2). The moduli of shear stiffness, G′M1), G′(M2), G′(M3), and the viscoelastic losses Tgδ(M1), Tgδ(M2), Tgδ (M3) of the materials of the layers satisfy the following relationships: G′(M1)/G′(M2) is within the range [7; 25]; Tgδ (M2) and Tgδ (M3) are linked by the following relationship: (Tgδ (M2)−Tgδ (M3))/Tgδ (M2)≥30% Thickness of layer (M3)/Thickness of layer (M2) is within the range [3; 10].
Textile coat rubber composition for a tire and a tire comprising a textile coat rubber composition
In accordance with the invention, a textile cord coat composition for a tire comprises from 70 to 90 phr cis 1,4-polyisoprene rubber, from 10 to 30 phr styrene butadiene rubber, from 25 to 45 phr carbon black, the latter comprising between 1 and 6 phr high surface area carbon black having a BET surface area of more than 700 m.sup.2/g. Moreover, the invention is directed to a textile reinforced ply and a tire comprising such a textile cord coat composition.
SULFUR-CROSSLINKABLE RUBBER-COATING MIXTURE
The invention relates to a sulfur-crosslinkable rubberization mixture for metallic or textile strength members containing at least one novolac resin comprising alkyl urethane units and produced by reaction of a phenolic compound, an aldehyde and a carbamate resin, wherein the carbamate resin is produced by reaction of alkyl urethane with an aldehyde, and at least one etherified melamine resin. The invention further relates to a pneumatic vehicle tire which comprises at least one such sulfur-crosslinked rubberization mixture.
For improved durability of the rubberized strength members, the rubberization mixture contains less than 2.5 phr (parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight of the total rubbers in the mixture) of at least one novolac resin comprising alkyl urethane units and produced by reaction of a phenolic compound, an aldehyde and a carbamate resin, wherein the carbamate resin is produced by reaction of alkyl urethane with an aldehyde, and less than 2.5 phr of at least one etherified melamine resin.
Ply coat rubber composition and a tire comprising a ply coat rubber composition
In accordance with the invention, a ply coat rubber composition for a tire ply comprises from 60 phr to 90 phr of natural rubber, from 10 phr to 40 phr of synthetic polyisoprene, from 30 phr to 80 phr of pre-silanized and precipitated silica, from 0.1 phr to 5 phr of a cobalt salt, up to 15 phr of carbon black, up to 5 phr of resin, and up to 8 phr of oil. Moreover, the invention is directed to a tire comprising such a rubber composition.
HEAVY DUTY TIRE
An object of the present invention is to provide a heavy duty tire having improved fuel efficiency, wet grip performance, abrasion resistance, chipping resistance, and tear resistance with good balance. The heavy duty comprises a carcass extending from a tread part through a sidewall part to a bead core of a bead part and a belt layer arranged outside in a tire radial direction of the carcass and inside of the tread part, wherein the tread has a cap rubber layer and a base rubber layer, the cap rubber layer comprises a predetermined rubber component and silica and the loss tangent tan δ of the base rubber layer is within a predetermined range.
Tread for an aircraft tire
Airplane tire tread (2), having an axial width L, comprises a middle part (3) having an axial width L.sub.C at least equal to 50% and at most equal to 80% of L and composed of a middle rubber composition, and two lateral parts (41, 42), positioned axially on either side of the middle part (3), each having an axial width (L.sub.S1, L.sub.S2) between 10% and 25% of L and each composed of a lateral rubber composition. The middle rubber composition comprises at least 50 phr of a first diene elastomer, a reinforcing filler and a crosslinking system, which first diene elastomer comprises ethylene units and diene units comprising a carbon-carbon double bond, which units are distributed randomly within the first diene elastomer, the ethylene units representing at least 50 mol % of all the monomer units of the first diene elastomer.
TEXTILE CORD AND A TIRE COMPRISING A TEXTILE CORD REINFORCEMENT
This invention relates to a passenger car tire comprising a carcass having at least one carcass ply, a tread disposed radially outward of a crown region of the carcass, a belt with a plurality of belt plies arranged between the carcass and the tread, and an overlay structure covering the belt and comprising a helically wound overlay ply strip reinforced by at least one textile cord. The cord comprises from 6 to 10 polyamide monofilament plies having each a density from 300 to 470 dtex, wherein the monofilament plies are twisted together by between 1 and 2 twists per inch to form the cord.
RUBBER COMPOSITION AND A TIRE
The present invention is directed to a non-vulcanized rubber composition which is comprised of (1) 90 phr to 100 phr cis 1,4-polyisoprene; (2) 10 phr to 40 phr of pre-silanized precipitated silica; (3) 10 phr to 40 phr of carbon black, (4) 0.1 phr to 5 phr of a cobalt salt, and (5) 1 phr to 15 phr of a resinous reaction product of a methylene donor composition and a methylene acceptor composition. Moreover, the present invention is directed to a tire or tire component comprising the cured rubber composition.

One embodiment of the present disclosure provides a tire cord including: a textile substrate, an adhesive layer disposed on the textile substrate, and a latex layer disposed on the adhesive layer, wherein the adhesive layer includes resorcinol-formaldehyde-latex (RFL), and wherein the latex layer is formed by a latex dispersion.

A tire having a tread portion which can improve wear resistance performance when running on uneven ground, wherein the cap rubber layer forming the tread portion contains styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), isoprene-based rubber, and silica; the content of the styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) in 100 parts by mass of the rubber component is 40 parts by mass or more and 60 parts by mass or less, and the styrene content of the styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) is 25% by mass or less; the content of the isoprene-based rubber in 100 parts by mass of the rubber component is more than 30 parts by mass; the content of the silica with respect to 100 parts by mass of the rubber component is 60 parts by mass or less; and the thickness of the tread portion is 9.4 mm or less.
