A radial aircraft tire (1), defined in three main directions, circumferential (X), axial (Y) and radial (Z), comprises a crown (2) surmounted by a tread (3), two sidewalls (4), two beads (5), each sidewall (4) connecting each bead (5) to the crown (2), a carcass reinforcement (7) that is anchored in each of the beads (5) at at least one bead wire (6) and extends in the sidewalls (4) as far as the crown (2), a crown reinforcement or belt (10) that extends in the crown (2) in the circumferential direction (X) and is situated radially between the carcass reinforcement (7) and the tread (3), said carcass reinforcement (7) having at least one ply referred to as carcass ply in the form of a rubber matrix reinforced with radially oriented reinforcing elements, referred to as radial textile reinforcers, the latter being constituted entirely or partially by textile plied yarns of nylon comprising N multifilament strands twisted together to form a helix, characterized in that: N is greater than 2; the count of each strand is greater than 180 tex; the tenacity of each strand is greater than 75 cN/tex; the elongation at break of each strand is greater than 14%; the tenacity of each plied yarn is greater than 60 cN/tex; the elongation at break of each plied yarn is greater than 18%; and the helix angle of each plied yarn is greater than 20.

The invention relates to a rubberized reinforcing ply (1) for articles consisting of an elastomeric material, preferably for vehicle tires, wherein the reinforcing ply (1) has a multiplicity of textile strengthening members (2) which are arranged parallel to and spaced apart from one another, wherein each textile strengthening member (2) is composed of at least one twisted multifilament yarn composed of the material viscose. The reinforcing ply (1) satisfies the following condition: (D.sup.2/E.sub.0) in mm corresponds to a value in a range from 0.30 mm to 0.45 mm, and the reinforcing ply (1) has a strength of 11 kN/dm<x<20 kN/dm, where D is the diameter of the textile strengthening member (2) in mm and lies in a range from 0.38 mm to 0.48 mm, and where E.sub.0=100/epdm.

A bicycle tire at least includes a tread part provided to a ground contact surface of the bicycle tire and a carcass part provided inside the tread part. The bicycle tire also includes a reinforcing ply in at least one position selected from between the tread part 2 and the carcass part, inside the carcass part, and inside the tread part. The reinforcing ply at least includes a woven fabric made of polyvinyl alcohol-series fiber yarns. Each of the yarns includes a plurality of single fibers having an average fiber diameter of 45 m or smaller.

VEHICLE TIRE

Breaking energy test performance of lightweight tyres that have a good performance in terms of rolling resistance and having a nominal width at least equal to 135 mm and at most equal to 235 mm is increased. These tyres comprise two thin and lightened working layers (41, 42) comprising metal reinforcing elements (411, 421) made up of monofilaments having a linear breaking strength Rct at least equal to 300 daN/cm and at most equal to 400 daN/cm, and a single carcass layer (6) radially on the inside of the working layers. In order to improve performance in the breaking energy test, this carcass layer comprises textile reinforcing elements and has surface breaking energy at least equal to 1.75 J/cm.sup.2.

TIRE FOR A VEHICLE

Breaking energy test performance of lightweight tyres that have a good performance in terms of rolling resistance is increased. These tyres comprise two thin and lightened working layers (41, 42) comprising metal reinforcing elements (411, 421) having a linear breaking strength Rct at most equal to 400 daN/cm, and a single carcass layer (6) radially on the inside of the working layers. In order to successfully undergo the breaking energy test, this carcass layer comprises textile reinforcing elements that have an elongation at break Acc at least equal to 15%, the carcass layer having a linear breaking strength Rcc at least equal to 0.55 times the linear breaking strength of the working layers.

In a tire, a tire outer diameter OD is in a range 200 mmOD660 mm. A total tire width SW is in a range 100 mmSW400 mm. A carcass layer is formed by layering two layers of carcass plies formed by covering organic fiber cords with coating rubbers. The organic fiber cords of the two layers of the carcass plies have cord angles in a range of 80 degrees or more and 100 degrees or less with respect to a tire circumferential direction. A tensile strength Tcs per a width of 50 mm of each of the two layers of the carcass plies (13A, 13B) is in a range 17 N/mmTcs/OD120 N/mm with respect to the tire outer diameter OD.

HIGH PERFORMANCE AGRICULTURAL TIRE

An agricultural tire includes a toroidal tire structure containing vulcanized rubber in an amount of about 90 percent or more by weight. The tire structure may have one or more performance enhancing features, including high strength plies. The high strength plies contain cords that are formed of yarns, including polyamide yarns, and have individual cord tensile strengths within a range of about 400 N to about 700 N. The performance enhancing features further include circumferential belt plies having cords at angles of about 74 degrees or more from an axial direction.
