The contact region contacts a road surface in a normal load state, and the non-contact region is recessed to a tire radial direction inner side from a tread surface. The non-contact region does not contact the road surface in the normal road state, and when a length of the non-contact region is W1 and a length of the main body land portion both along the tire width direction is Rw, 0.2Rw≤W1≤0.5Rw.

A tread pattern of a pneumatic tire includes one center continuous land portion and two intermediate continuous land portions that are divided by four circumferential main grooves and that are not provided with lug grooves. Edges on both sides of one center main groove include groove chamfered portions having a chamfered width changing in the circumferential direction in a zigzag shape. In the regions of the intermediate continuous land portions, first sipes extending inward in the lateral direction from shoulder main grooves of the main grooves, which are positioned on outer sides in the lateral direction, are provided. The first sipes each include a sipe main body portion having a constant distance between sipe wall surfaces on a sipe bottom side and a sipe chamfered portion inclined so that the sipe wall surfaces are open toward the tread surface.

A pneumatic tire is provided with tread rubber that forms a contact patch; and a belt layer which is disposed toward the interior in a tire radial direction from the tread rubber. A shoulder lug portion is provided with a narrow groove that partitions the shoulder lug portion into a main body portion and into a sacrificial portion. A plurality of concavities are open toward both the contact patch at the main body portion and the groove side face, wherein innermost ends in the tire width direction of the respective concavities are disposed so as to be at the same location in the tire width direction as an outermost end in the tire width direction of the belt layer or are arranged toward the exterior in the tire width direction from the outermost end in the tire width direction of the belt layer.
