Hub Covering for a Tyre Filling Device of a Vehicle
The invention relates to a hub covering (2) for a tyre filling device of a vehicle for covering a wheel hub (1) of the vehicle, wherein an air supply which is coupled to a steering knuckle (21) arranged inside the wheel hub (1) is connected to an air volume in a tyre of a vehicle wheel at least indirectly via a rotary connection (3) arranged on the hub covering (2), wherein the rotary connection (3) comprises an adapter (4), which is arranged in an axially secured and rotatable manner on the hub covering (4), and receives a rotary transmitter (5) for producing a compressed air connection to the tyre of the vehicle wheel. The invention further relates to a tyre filling device and to an adapter (4) for such a hub covering (2).
CENTRAL TIRE INFLATION SYSTEM
A central tire inflation system configured to maintain an air pressure on a first and second tire mounted to a wheel of a vehicle including a wheel assembly configured to be operably coupled to the wheel and including (1) a housing in fluid communication with an external air supply, (2) two check valves carried by the housing and in fluid communication with the air supply, (3) two tire air connectors carried by the housing and in fluid communication with the two check valves, respectively, and configured to be operably coupled to the two tires, respectively. The first tire, second tire, and air supply in fluid communication when both the first check valve and the second check valve are in an open position but not in fluid communication when either the first check valve or the second check valve is in a closed position.
Tire pressure control valve assembly
A valve assembly for a tire pressure control system used to control tire pressure of a vehicle has a unitary body and one or more valves. The unitary body has attachment points for mounting the unitary body to a vehicle wheel end, one or more valve cavities formed in the unitary body, and a plurality of air passages formed in the unitary body. The plurality of air passages have an air supply passage that is connectable to an air supply and a tire supply chamber for connecting to a tire of the vehicle. The air supply passage and the tire supply chamber are connected to each of the one or more valve cavities. Each valve has a valve element mounted to the valve cavity, an air supply chamber in communication with the air supply passage, and a tire supply chamber in communication with the tire supply passage.
Rotary union for tire inflation system
A rotary union having a housing, a shaft rotatably disposed within the housing, and a tube having a first end sealingly disposed within the shaft and a second end sealingly coupled to the housing. A tire inflation system may comprise a rotary union externally mounted to a vehicle wheel end or mounted to a vehicle fairing.
Automatic constant pressure device for hub tire system
The invention provides an automatic constant pressure device for a hub tire system. The device comprises a valve nozzle, air pipes, valves, a pneumatic slip ring, a hub, a pressure relief valve, a tire, a main shaft, an air storage tank, a vehicle-mounted air source and the like. Two valve holes are machined in the hub of the device. The valve nozzle with a tire pressure sensor is installed at one valve hole, and the pressure relief valve is installed at the other valve hole. The tire pressure is detected by the tire pressure sensor. The valve is controlled to inflate through the valve nozzle, and the pressure relief valve is controlled to relieve the pressure. The device has the characteristics of scientific detection principle, simple and reasonable structure and the like.
Flexible, dual purpose wheel speed harness and breather line
A method for attaching a clamping assembly to the frame of a machine includes attaching a sensor assembly to the spindle of a machine such that a wire harness extends through the internal cavity of the spindle and out from the spindle, fishing the wire harness through a breather line, and attaching the wiring harness to the chassis of a machine.
CHASSIS MOUNTED ENERGY EXTRACTION AND DELIVERY SYSTEM
A chassis mounted energy extraction and delivery system. In one embodiment, a gravity-referenced, external tire inflation facility is integrated into an aerodynamic fairing mounted on the chassis of a vehicle. In one other embodiment, a torsion bar coupled between a hub-mounted energy extraction or delivery facility and a selected portion of the chassis provides a cross-referenced fixed point of reference. In a dual-axle embodiment, a first end of the torsion bar is coupled to the hub of one axle and a second end of the torsion bar is coupled to the hub of the other axle. In a single-axle embodiment, the second end of the torsion bar is coupled to the chassis.
